CENTAC: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has issued a notification inviting fresh applications from candidates who have completed their schooling in Puducherry's Government schools of the Union Territory (UT). These applications are for admission to Puducherry's first-year MBBS, BDS, and BAMS (Ayurveda) courses in Government and Self Financing Medical, Dental, and Ayurveda colleges.

To be eligible for these courses, candidates must meet the following criteria:- Residency Requirement: Candidates must be residents of Puducherry and should upload a Residence certificate issued by the Revenue Department of Puducherry.
- NEET 2023 Exam: Candidates should have qualified for NEET 2023.
- Schooling in Government Schools: Candidates who have completed their education from Standard 1 to 12 in Government schools of Govt. of Puducherry in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam regions are eligible to apply.
CENTAC Application Fee for MBBS, BDS & BAMS 2023
To ensure transparency and clarity regarding the application process, the following application fees have been established for candidates applying for the specified courses: For General / OBC / MBC / EBC / BCM / BT Candidates: The application fee for candidates falling under the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Most Backward Classes (MBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Backward Classes Muslims (BCM), and Backward Tribes (BT) categories is set at Rs. 1000. For SC / ST / PwD Candidates: Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories are eligible for a reduced application fee, which is Rs. 500. These fees are integral to the application process and must be paid by the candidate's category. It is essential to submit the correct fee and the application to ensure it is complete and eligible for processing.CENTAC Application Process for MBBS, BDS, and BAMS
- Fresh Applications: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should submit fresh applications through the online portal.
- Reservation for Government School Candidates: After submitting their fresh applications, candidates who have studied in Government schools of Govt. of Puducherry should express their willingness to avail of the 10% reservation for Government school students in their login dashboard. When filling out the application, they should ensure that they enter their ALL INDIA COUNSELING RANK against NEET RANK.
- TC / Study Certificate Submission: Candidates who have already submitted CENTAC UG NEET applications and have studied in Government schools of Govt. of Puducherry should not submit fresh applications again. Instead, they should submit a willingness to avail the 10% reservation for Government school students along with a Transfer Certificate (TC) or Study Certificate. This certificate should contain details of schools attended from Standard 1 to 12 and must be issued by the Principal of the school where the candidate last studied.
