The NTA, which released the NEET UG 2024 result on June 4, also provided detailed statistics on this year's exam participation. A total of 2,333,297 candidates appeared for the exam, reflecting a higher turnout compared to 2023's 2,038,596 examinees . Out of those who appeared in 2024, 1,316,268 successfully qualified, demonstrating the competitive nature of the exam. Before the National Testing Agency (NTA) reopened the NEET 2024 application process , as per the NTA's latest notification, 24,06,079 candidates had registered for NEET. It is worth noting that female candidates outnumber male candidates, with 13,76,863 registrations. Uttar Pradesh had the most registrations (3,39,125), followed by Maharashtra (2,79,104) for NEET 2024. These numbers deserve attention, especially since they have not been formally disclosed by the NTA but are derived from a thorough examination of NEET 2024 registrations.
