The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified the procedure for addressing discrepancies in the NEET UG 2026 Admit Card, which is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination. The admit card is issued provisionally, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions, and does not by itself confirm a candidate’s final eligibility.
Candidates are required to download the admit card only from the official website neet.nta.nic.in and appear for the examination strictly at the centre, date, and time mentioned on it. Entry to the examination centre at any other time or venue is not permitted.
As per the Information Bulletin, if a candidate finds any discrepancy in their particulars, photograph, or signature as shown on the admit card and the Confirmation Page, they must immediately approach the NTA Help Line between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM or write to neetug2026@nta.ac.in.
In such cases, candidates will be allowed to appear in the examination with the already downloaded admit card. The NTA will take necessary corrective action in its records at a later stage.
NTA has clearly stated that:
Admit cards will not be sent by post.
No duplicate admit card will be issued at the examination centre.
Candidates must not mutilate or alter the admit card in any manner.
The admit card should be preserved in good condition for future reference.
No admit card will be issued to candidates whose applications are incomplete or who do not fulfill eligibility conditions.
Issuance of the admit card does not guarantee acceptance of eligibility, which will be scrutinized during subsequent stages of admission.
Candidates are advised to read all instructions mentioned in the Information Bulletin and on the admit card carefully and follow them strictly during the conduct of the examination.
