The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026 is a critical milestone for medical aspirants. While focus often remains on preparation, understanding the technicalities of the examination hall is equally vital. A common concern for many students is how to fill NEET Test Booklet 2026 correctly. Mistakes in these details can lead to complications during evaluation or even result in the cancellation of the candidate's result. Here is a clear, step-by-step process for candidates to ensure their information is recorded accurately on the exam day.
Before the exam begins, candidates are required to follow specific protocols regarding the Test Booklet. The Examination Hall opens well in advance, and candidates are expected to take their allotted seats immediately.
Ballpoint Pen: Candidates must use the ballpoint pen provided by the NTA at the examination center for all writing and bubbling tasks.
Verification: Ensure that the Test Booklet contains the same number of pages as mentioned on the top of the first page.
Discrepancies: If any page is missing or the booklet is damaged, candidates must immediately report it to the invigilator for a replacement.
Candidates will be allowed to open the seal of the Test Booklet a few minutes before the commencement of the exam to fill in the following details:
Roll Number: Write your Roll Number in the designated boxes exactly as it appears on your NEET (UG) 2026 Admit Card.
Candidate’s Name: Write your full name in capital letters in the specified column.
Father’s Name: Enter your father’s name in capital letters as provided in the application form.
Mother’s Name: Similarly, write your mother’s name in the space provided.
Signature: Affix your signature in the running hand in the presence of the invigilator.
Test Booklet Code: Ensure that the Test Booklet Code printed on the booklet matches the code on the OMR Answer Sheet provided to you.
Prohibited Items: Do not carry any personal pens, pencils, or paper into the examination hall; only the NTA-issued pen is allowed.
No Overwriting: Avoid any overwriting or scratching on the Test Booklet, as it may lead to ambiguity.
Invigilator's Presence: All entries and signatures must be made in the presence of the invigilator to maintain the integrity of the process.
Language Check: In case of any ambiguity in translation for bilingual booklets (English + Hindi/Regional), the English version of the question shall be treated as final.
