
the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially reopened the online application window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2. This decision comes after numerous requests from students who were unable to complete their registration or fee payments during the initial window.The portal is active as of today, March 12, 2026, in the afternoon. Candidates have a very narrow window to finalize their applications, as the process will conclude on March 13, 2026.

Candidates must follow these steps to ensure a successful registration:
Visit the Official Portal: Navigate to jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Login/Register: * Existing Candidates: If you appeared for JEE Main 2026 Session 1, log in with your existing application number and password.
Fresh Applicants: Select "New Registration" and provide basic details to generate credentials.
Fill Details: Update your choice of paper (Paper 1 for BTech, Paper 2 for BArch/BPlan), exam cities, and educational qualifications.
Upload Documents: Ensure scanned copies of your photograph and signature meet NTA specifications.
Fee Payment: Complete the transaction via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI before the deadline.

Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing for it in 2026.
Age Limit: There is no age restriction for appearing in the engineering entrance exam.
Exam Pattern: The test will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).
Admit Cards: NTA is expected to release the JEE Main 2026 admit cards approximately 3 to 4 days before the commencement of the exam.
For many, the April session is the "final lap." Since NTA considers the best of two NTA scores for the final ranking, this session provides an opportunity to improve performance and secure a seat in top-tier IITs or NITs.
