NSEP Success Story: How Pranay Badera Prepared With PW and Qualified the Exam

For many students, Olympiad preparation can seem challenging, especially when they are trying to balance school studies with advanced-level concepts. Pranay Badera started his Olympiad journey in Class 8 and gradually progressed through different stages before qualifying for NSEP.

His preparation included NSEJS, IJSO-related preparation, camps, the PW Champ Batch, and the Pre-Departure Camp (PDC). Instead of relying only on long study hours, Pranay focused on understanding concepts, practising questions regularly, and learning from tests.

His journey shows how starting early and following a consistent preparation process can help students build a strong foundation for Olympiad examinations.

How Pranay Badera Started His Olympiad Journey in Class 8

Pranay’s Olympiad journey started early. He began preparing for NSEJS in Class 8 and continued working on his preparation in the following years.

Speaking about how he started, Pranay explained:

“Dekho maine Olympiad ki tayari class mein shuru ki thi. Phir jab maine NSEJS ki tayari karna shuru kiya. Phir ninth mein PSC ki tayari continue rakhi aur ninth mein qualify kiya.”

Starting in Class 8 gave Pranay enough time to build his concepts gradually. He continued his preparation in Class 9 and successfully qualified NSEJS.

His preparation did not stop there. He also participated in subsequent Olympiad-related stages and camps, which gave him exposure to more advanced questions and concepts.

This early start eventually helped him move towards the next level of Olympiad preparation and NSEP.

How Pranay Badera Used Tests to Improve His NSEP Preparation

As Pranay progressed towards NSEP, regular testing became an important part of his preparation. He joined the PW Champ Batch, which was designed for students preparing for advanced Olympiad stages.

When asked about his NSEP preparation, Pranay shared:

“NSEki tayari achhi jo test hai unhone help kiya hai improve karne mein time management mein aur kuch naye type ke questions pata chal rahe hain.”

The tests helped Pranay in two important areas: time management and exposure to new types of questions.

Instead of treating tests only as a way to measure his performance, he used them to identify unfamiliar question patterns and understand where he needed more practice.

This regular testing became particularly useful as he moved towards the more advanced stages of his preparation.

How PW Champ Batch Helped Pranay Badera Strengthen His Concepts

After progressing through earlier Olympiad stages, Pranay continued his preparation through PW’s Champ Batch and later joined the Pre-Departure Camp.

During the PDC, Pranay focused on regular revision, tests, and daily question practice. Describing how the camp helped him, Pranay said:

“Har ek topic ka revision ho raha hai to topic brush up ho jayega. Roz test hote hain to jo test ke liye practice practice hoti hai. Roz question practice hoti hai aur PPT milti hai to unse help hoti hai. Unse kaafi help ho jaati hai.”

The PDC gave Pranay an environment where he could revise different topics while continuing to practise questions every day.

The combination of topic revision, daily tests, question practice and PPT-based learning helped him brush up his concepts and stay consistent with his preparation.

For Pranay, the benefit was not limited to learning new concepts. Regular revision also helped him keep previously studied topics fresh.

How Pranay Badera Connected Advanced Practice With NSEP Preparation

Pranay’s preparation also involved solving questions that introduced him to new concepts and different approaches. This became useful not only for his immediate preparation but also for his interest in higher-level Olympiad opportunities.

When asked about his motivation for preparing for the next stage, he said:

“Ek aisi team chahiye aapko daily patient se related karvate hain. Aise baith ke uske naye concept pata chalte hain to NSEP mein bhi help karte hain.”

Working with other students and being exposed to new concepts gave Pranay another opportunity to strengthen his preparation.

The experience of solving unfamiliar questions and discussing concepts helped him develop a broader approach to Olympiad-level preparation. It also kept him motivated to explore further opportunities beyond NSEP.

Pranay Badera Advice: Start Olympiad Preparation Early

After progressing through multiple stages of Olympiad preparation, Pranay believes students should start early rather than waiting until higher classes.

Sharing his advice for younger students, he said:

“Generally Olympiad ki tayari karni chahiye sabko. Isse basics jo hai clear hote hain aur wo aage jaake bhi 11 12th mein help karte hain. 8th class se shuru kar deni chahiye.”

For Pranay, starting Olympiad preparation in Class 8 was useful because it helped him develop his basics at an early stage.

Early preparation can also give students greater exposure to concepts that they may encounter later in Classes 11 and 12. By gradually building this foundation, students can become more comfortable with advanced problem-solving when they reach higher classes.

Pranay Badera NSEP Journey Shows the Value of Starting Early

Pranay Badera’s NSEP journey reflects the importance of early preparation, regular testing and consistent practice. Starting his Olympiad preparation in Class 8, he progressed through NSEJS and other stages before continuing his preparation through PW’s Champ Batch and Pre-Departure Camp.

His experience highlights how regular tests can improve time management, daily question practice can build confidence, and continuous revision can strengthen concepts. Rather than trying to learn everything at once, Pranay gradually progressed through each stage of the Olympiad journey.

For students planning to prepare for NSEP and other Olympiad examinations, his journey offers a practical lesson: start early, focus on building strong basics, practise regularly and use tests to understand and improve your weak areas.
