NSEB 2026 Admit Card

The  National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB) 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in November 2026. The official notification and exam details will be released on the website of the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT).

The NSEB Admit Card 2026 will be released online before the examination on the official website. Candidates appearing for the NSEB Olympiad 2026 must download their admit card and carry it to the exam centre, as it is a mandatory document for entry into the examination hall.

NSEB Eligibility Criteria 

NSEB Exam is for Indian students who have a keen interest in chemistry and have excelled in biology. Students at the higher secondary level take this exam and around 850 centres are allocated by the organizing committee in various cities and towns to facilitate the examination process. Students must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen first.
  • The NSEB test is designed for students in grades 11 and 12.
  • Date of birth between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2011, both dates inclusive.
  • Must be residing and studying in India on or before November 30, 2023. Must be studying in the Indian school system on or before November 30, 2023.
  • Must not have completed (or intend to complete) the Class 12 board examinations before 30 November 2026.
  • Must not have commenced (or intend to commence) studies at a university or equivalent institution before 1 June 2026.
  • Must not appear in NSEJS 2026.

NSEB Registration 2026

The IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) will start the NSEB Registration Process 2026. The candidates can apply and pay the fees via the IAPT website after verifying their eligibility. The NSEB 2026 Online Application must be submitted with all necessary paperwork. It is advisable to complete the NSEB Registration before the deadline to avoid any kind of glitches.

NSEB 2026 Application Fee

To finish the NSEB 2026 Online Registration Process, students must pay a registration fee of Rs. 300/-. Students who advance to the next level and beyond are exempt from paying until the very end as this is a one-time cost. The NSEB registration fee 2026 can be paid via online or offline mode. This fee is non-refundable and is paid during the registration process, which typically occurs through the student's school or a registered NSE centre

Steps for NSEB 2026 Registration

Candidates must register at the NSEB 2026 Exam centres before the deadline. While registering, students can also choose the language they are most comfortable with and take the exam in English or Hindi. You can get the NSEB Registration form by following the steps below:
Step 1: Students must first contact the NSEB centers. Over the past few years, IAPT has opened thousands of centers. Students can get the application form from one of the local NSEB centers.

Step 2: After visiting the nearest NSEB center, students can get the NSEB application form from the center coordinator and submit it after filling in the necessary details.

Step 3: Students who want to appear for the NSEB 2026 exam can also register online by clicking on the application form link available on the official website of IAPT.

Step 4: A registration fee is required to be paid while filling the form in both offline and online cases.

Step 5: You will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 300/-.

Step 6: After payment of the fee, students will be eligible to download the NSEB admit card after its official release by the organizing authority.

Step 7: This will be a one-time fee and students will not have to pay any further fees if they clear the exam and appear for the next level(s).

Stages After NSEB 

  • NSEB: The NSEB (National Standard Examination in Biology) is the first stage, and all students in grades 1 to 12 are entitled to participate after enrolling for the tests.
  • INBO: The Indian National Olympiad or Indian National Biology Olympiad is the second stage of the exam, and only 300 qualified students who scored higher than others are allowed to compete. The INBO is held at various locations across India.
  • OCSC: Approximately 35 students are selected from INBO to attend this camp. The OCSC camp focuses on theoretical and practical training to prepare students for the international level.
  • PDT: The Pre-Departure Training Camp offers intensive training to the top four students selected from OCSC.
  • IBO: In the final stage, students represent their school and country in the International Biology Olympiad on a global platform.

Is it possible for me to immediately compete in the International Biology Olympiad?
