NSEC 2026 Eligibility Criteria
NSEC Olympiad exam is for Indian students who have a keen interest in chemistry and have excelled in chemistry. Around 850 centres are allocated by the organizing committee in various cities and towns officials facilitate the NSEC examination. Students must satisfy the NSEC 2026 eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- Students must possess an Indian passport.
- Students must be born between 1st July 2006 and 30th June 2011, all dates inclusive.
- They must be living in India and studying in the country on or before 30th November 2023 OR must be studying in the Indian school system on or before 30th November 2023.
- Students must not pass (or clear) the board examination for Class XII in 2026.
- They must not register for any NSEJS 2026 exam is initiated (or intended to begin) study at a university or similar institution before 1 June 2026.

NSEC 2026 Registration Link
The National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC) 2026 registration process is expected to begin in August 2026 on the official website of the Indian Association of Physics Teachers. Candidates will be able to apply online after checking the eligibility criteria and completing the required fee payment.
The last date for NSEC 2026 registration is expected to fall in August 2026, and applicants must ensure that all required documents are submitted while completing the online application form.
NSEC 2026 Application Fee
Students have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 300/- to complete the NSEC 2026 Online Registration Process.
This is a one-time fee and students who progress to the next stage and progress further do not have to pay until the final stage. The NSEC 2026 registration fees are non-refundable once paid and mode of payment is online only.
Steps for NSEC 2026 Registration
Candidates must register at the NSEC 2026 Exam Centres before the deadline. While registering, students can also choose the language they are most comfortable with and take the exam in English or Hindi. You can get the NSEC Registration form by following the steps below:
Step 1: Students must first contact the NSEC centers. Over the past few years, IAPT has opened thousands of centers. Students can get the application form from one of the local NSEC centers.
Step 2: After visiting the nearest NSEC center, students can get the NSEC 2026 application form from the center coordinator and submit it after filling in the necessary details.
Step 3: Students who want to appear for the NSEC 2026 exam can also register online by clicking on the application form link available on the official website of IAPT.
Step 4: A registration fee is required to be paid while filling the form in both offline and online cases.
Step 5: You will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 300/-.
Step 6: After payment of the fee, students will be eligible to download the NSEC admit card after its official release by the organizing authority.
Step 7: This will be a one-time fee and students will not have to pay any further fees if they clear the exam and appear for the next level(s).

The National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC) 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in November 2026 at various exam centres across the country. The Indian Association of Physics Teachers releases the NSEC Result 2026 usually in the month of January. The NSEC 2026 Result will be announced by IAPT at the official website - https://www.iapt.org.in/.
