The NSEJS Exam Date 2025 notification has been officially released for students aspiring to participate in the National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS). 

The NSEJS is the first stage of the Junior Science Olympiad and is a golden opportunity for young students to showcase their scientific aptitude. For the Academic Session, the NSEJS 2025 Exam is scheduled on November 23, 2025.

NSEJS Exam Date 2025 Out

The National Standard Examination in Junior Scientific (NSEJS 2025-26) 2025 is a two‑hour written test conducted in offline mode at designated centres across India. It is organized by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT).

This exam is designed to check a student’s understanding of concepts, problem‑solving ability, and logical reasoning in Physics, rather than just rote learning. The upcoming NSEJS will be held on November 23, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. 

Each year, nearly 20,000 to 60,000 High school students who are studying in class 10 or below and are not expected to clear their 10th board exams by November 30, 2025, participate, and the top scorers qualify,  the first stage of the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO).

NSEJS Junior Science Olympiad Date 2025

The NSEJS Exam 2025-26 is a science olympiad with multiple-choice questions from physics, chemistry, and biology. It is designed for curious and motivated students, helping them build knowledge and prepare for international-level competitions. The National Standard Examination in Junior Science is held in several Indian languages, including English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bangla, Tamil, and Telugu, among others.

The NSEJS Admit Card 2025 will be available on the official website approximately 15 days before the exam. Students can download it using their registration details. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the NSEJS Exam Admit Card 2025 along with a valid photo ID on the exam day.

NSEJS Exam Pattern 2025

The NSEJS Exam Pattern 2025 is straightforward and designed to test students’ understanding of science concepts through objective-type questions.

• Number of Questions: A total of 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs

• Question Type: All questions will be objective/multiple-choice.

• Exam Duration: Students will get 2 hours to complete the test.

NSEJS Syllabus 2025

The NSEJS Syllabus for the National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS) is broadly based on the topics taught in Classes 9 and 10 of CBSE, ICSE, and other equivalent boards. Students should have strong fundamentals in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics up to Class 10 level. 

Preparation Tips for NSEJS Exam 2025

1. Get familiar with the exam:
   The NSEJS has multiple-choice questions along with sections that test problem-solving and data analysis. The free-response part is usually considered the toughest. Also, keep in mind that the exam pattern may see slight changes every year.
2. Start your prep early:
   Since the syllabus is wide, give yourself plenty of time to study, understand, and revise. If you begin six months in advance, dedicating 2–4 hours daily is a good pace.
3. Follow official updates:
   Stay tuned to reliable sources for announcements or changes in exam rules. The most important ones are the IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) website and the HBCSE (Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education) site.
4. Focus on diagrams:
   Drawing neat and accurate diagrams can save time during the exam. The more you practice them now, the faster and clearer your answers will be later.
5. Use the right reference books:
   HBCSE provides a recommended list of books for preparation. Make sure to check it and study from those resources thoroughly.
