PROMYS India: Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS) is a Summer Program for Mathematics for Secondary and Higher Secondary Students. PROMYS India was launched in 2023.
For more than thirty years, PROMYS has been associated with in-depth, investigative mathematical education for gifted high school students and secondary educators.
PROMYS India is a partnership of PROMYS with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. Promys India is a demanding six-week summer course that aims to inspire mathematically gifted high school students (Standards IX - XII) to investigate the creative realm of mathematics.

PROMYS India 2025, the third mathematics summer camp is going to run from 11 May to 21 June on the IISc campus in Bengaluru and is free of any charges.
PROMYS India (Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists) is a prestigious 6-week residential mathematics summer program for talented high school students (Grades IX–XII).
Modeled after the PROMYS program at Boston University and hosted at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru, PROMYS India offers a deep and immersive experience in mathematical exploration, completely free of cost.
Participants engage in the art of discovery over 6 weeks, through their intensive attempts to demonstrate basic mathematical concepts. Candidates who participate in PROMYS excel in their academics, science and technology, career and go on.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru hosts the PROMYS India, for this year the summer camp is going to take place from 11th May to 21st June 2025.
Participants are provided full scholarships which includes all lectures in camp, housing and meals for the six weeks of the Mathematic Summer Camp Program.

Students must be pursuing secondary or higher secondary school in India, specifically in Standards IX to XII (or +1, +2, or PUC).
Applicants must have completed (or be currently enrolled in) Standard IX before participating in the PROMYS India 2025
Students who are just completing the final year of higher secondary school or are taking a gap year before starting college or university are eligible, provided they have not yet begun university studies.
Most students will be older than 15 (As on 11 May 2025), but students are not eligible if they will be 19 or older at the start of PROMYS India 2025.
There is little flexibility on the lower age limit, but students who are very close to 15 may still apply if they wish.

The application process for PROMYS India 2025 is now over. There is no application fee to be paid to take part in the Mathematics Summer Camp.
All students who are admitted to PROMYS India 2025 will receive a full scholarship that will pay for all of their tuition, accommodation, and meals during the six-week program. Applicants may request more funding for travel and laundry based on their needs. No books are necessary.

PROMYS India, like its international counterparts, prioritizes the skill of mathematical discovery. By confronting core mathematical problems, students are encouraged to improve their mathematical details and proofs.
The PROMYS curriculum includes advanced seminars in number theory, exploration labs, and supervised research projects. Guest lectures and conversations on a wide variety of mathematical subjects enhance the learning process.
