The SilverZone International Olympiad of Mathematics (iOM) is an annual Mathematics Olympiad for students of Classes 1 to 12. The examination is based on the syllabus followed by CBSE, ICSE and other recognised State Boards.
The iOM tests students on mathematical concepts along with Reasoning and Aptitude and Scholar’s Zone questions. The exam also focuses on the application of Mathematics to different situations.
Students who perform well can qualify for higher levels of the Olympiad. The examination also provides students with performance reports that help them understand their strengths and areas that need more practice.

The SilverZone International Olympiad of Mathematics (iOM) 2026-27 will be conducted on three dates. Schools can choose any one of the available dates for their students. The iOM exam dates are October 8, November 18 and December 7, 2026.

As per the official SilverZone update, registration is open up to 30 days before the scheduled November and December examination dates. Therefore, students appearing for the November or December iOM exam should complete registration within the applicable deadline.
Students should contact their school coordinator to confirm the examination date selected by their school and complete the registration process on time.
Students from Classes 1 to 12 are eligible to participate in Level 1 of the International Olympiad of Mathematics.
Students studying under CBSE, ICSE, State Boards and other recognised educational boards can participate. Students from schools outside India can also take part.
For Level 2, students from Classes 3 to 12 need to meet the performance criteria in Level 1.
The eligibility conditions include:
Students of Classes 1 to 12 can participate in Level 1.
Students from India and abroad can participate.
Students from different recognised school boards are eligible.
Students from Classes 3 to 12 can qualify for Level 2 based on their Level 1 performance.
Level 3 is applicable to selected International Olympiad rank holders from Classes 6 to 12.
Students can register for the SilverZone International Olympiad of Mathematics (iOM) 2026-27 through their respective schools. Schools need to submit the completed registration forms to the SilverZone Foundation within the specified timeline.

The iOM question paper is different for each class. All questions are objective-type and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The paper is divided into three sections:
Section 1 – Mathematics
Section 2 – Reasoning and Aptitude
Section 3 – Scholar’s Zone
The medium of the examination is English only. OMR answer sheets are provided for students from Class 1 onwards.
The SilverZone iOM syllabus is based on the Mathematics curriculum followed by different school boards. The syllabus is class-specific and covers mathematical concepts along with Reasoning and Aptitude and Scholar’s Zone.

Level 1 is open to students of Classes 1 to 12. Students appear for the examination at their respective schools.
The paper contains class-specific objective questions from Mathematics, Reasoning and Aptitude, and Scholar’s Zone.
There is no negative marking. Students are ranked based on their performance in the examination.
Students from Classes 3 to 12 can qualify for Level 2 based on their Level 1 performance.
As per the stated criteria, the top 1,000 students who rank from 4th to 1003rd across Classes 3 to 12 and secure at least 50% marks can qualify for Level 2.
The Class 1 rank holders across Classes 3 to 12 with at least 75% marks and 100% participation from their respective school in the subject may also qualify as per the applicable criteria.
The International Olympiad 1st rank holders of Classes 6 to 12 from Level 2 are eligible for Level 3.
Level 3 is conducted in New Delhi, India.
Students qualifying for this stage get an opportunity to compete at a higher level and can become eligible for the Level 3 awards.
The iOM examination carries a total of 100 marks. Each correct answer is awarded marks according to the applicable question weightage.
There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
SilverZone also uses additional decimal weightage for correct answers to resolve ties. The weightage starts from 0.0001 and increases with the question number.
This helps determine ranks when students have the same raw score.
SilverZone iOM provides different types of ranks based on student performance.
The Olympiad Rank compares students from India and other participating countries who belong to the same class.
The Class Rank compares students from different sections or divisions of the same class within a school.
Students can also receive Zonal and State ranks based on their performance.
SilverZone divides India into different zones for ranking and award purposes.

The top three Zonal and State rank holders receive Medals of Excellence. Class toppers can also receive Medals of Excellence subject to the minimum marks requirement.
All participants receive a participation certificate reflecting their applicable rank and marks.
Level 2 awards are provided to top performers based on their International Olympiad rank.
For Classes 11 and 12, the first International Olympiad rank holder can receive a prize of ₹50,000, while the first rank holder in Classes 3 to 10 can receive ₹10,000.
Prizes are also provided for second and third International Olympiad ranks according to the applicable class.
Students who qualify for Level 3 can receive an opportunity for an educational excursion to ISRO.
The Level 3 winners from Classes 6 to 12 in the applicable Olympiad subjects are eligible for the educational visit.
