KEAM Pharmacy Eligibility Criteria 2025

KEAM Pharmacy Eligibility Criteria 2025 is set by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. This outlines the conditions that candidates must fulfill to be eligible to apply for the KEAM Pharmacy exam. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must meet certain requirements, including academic qualifications, age, nationality, and nativity. These criteria ensure that only qualified individuals can apply for the examination. Below are the key details under each category.

KEAM Pharmacy Educational Qualification 2025

For the KEAM Pharmacy 2025 exam, candidates must have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized educational board. The mandatory subjects include:

• English as one of the subjects.

• Physics and Chemistry.

• Either Mathematics or Biology as an optional subject.

Candidates must have studied these subjects individually and passed with the required percentage to be eligible for the exam. This educational qualification is necessary for applying to the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program through KEAM.

KEAM Pharmacy Age Limit 2025

To apply for the KEAM Pharmacy 2025 exam, candidates must have attained a minimum age of 17 years by December 31, 2025. There is no upper age limit for candidates wishing to apply for the B.Pharm program. It is important to note that candidates must fulfill the minimum age requirement to be eligible for the exam, as there will be no age relaxation.

KEAM Pharmacy Nationality 2025

KEAM Pharmacy exam is open only to Indian citizens. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are treated as Indian citizens for the purpose of admission. However, PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any reservations or fee concessions. This applies only to the limited purpose of admission to professional courses like B.Pharm. 

KEAM Pharmacy 2025 Nativity Criteria

Candidates applying for KEAM Pharmacy 2025 are categorized based on their nativity, which determines their eligibility for various quota seats. There are three categories under nativity:

1. Keralite:

• Candidates who are of Kerala origin.

• Children of All India Service (AIS) officers posted in Kerala are also considered Keralites, although they are not eligible for reservation benefits.

2. Non-Keralite Category I (NK I): Candidates who are not of Kerala origin but fulfill one of the following conditions:

• Have completed their qualifying exam in Kerala and are children of Non-Keralite parents working for the Government of India or Defence Services posted in Kerala.

• Have completed their qualifying exam in Kerala and are children of parents who have served the Kerala Government for at least two years.

• Have been residents of Kerala for at least 5 years within a 12-year period.

• Have studied in Kerala from Std. VIII to XII.

3. Non-Keralite Category II (NK II):

• Candidates who do not meet the criteria for Keralite or Non-Keralite Category I.

• These candidates are only eligible for private self-financing colleges and are not eligible for government college seats, reservations, or fee concessions.

• Candidates in Non-Keralite Category II (NK II) will only be considered for the available seats if there are no eligible candidates from Keralite or Non-Keralite Category I.

Important Note: Candidates must provide proper documentation for each category as proof of nativity, such as certificates from educational institutions, government departments, or other relevant authorities.
