Navodaya Syllabus for Language Test

In this section, ten questions pertaining to writing and grammar will be asked. There will be twenty-five questions in the language test section. There are four passages in the Language Test. Candidates must choose a response from the passage that is provided. The purpose of this test is to evaluate the applicant's reading comprehension skills. The JNVST Class 6 exam pattern for 2025 states that there will be four passages with five questions each. Each student is required to read the passage and choose an answer from it.

Navodaya New Syllabus

The updated syllabus for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2024 for Class 6 admission includes three main sections:
  1. Mental Ability Test (MAT) : This section focuses on reasoning and puzzles, such as pattern completion, figure matching, mirror images, and finding the odd one out. It has 40 questions.
  2. Arithmetic Test : This section covers basic math topics like number systems, fractions, decimals, and problems related to time, distance, and weight. There are 20 questions in this section.
  3. Language Test : This section tests reading and comprehension skills. It consists of 20 questions based on reading passages to check how well the student understands the language.
The exam has a total of 80 questions and lasts for 2 hours. It is conducted in different languages, including Hindi and English, depending on the region.

JNVST 2024 Class 6 Answer Writing Instructions

Here are the instructions for candidates taking the Class 6 JNVST entrance test:
  1. Write your roll number carefully on the OMR form, as shown on your admit card.
  2. You will receive a separate answer sheet where you need to write your answers in the correct sections.
  3. The test will have four possible answers for each question. Choose the correct one and mark the corresponding number on your answer sheet.
  4. Each correct answer will earn you 1.25 points, and there is no penalty for wrong answers.
  5. Use a blue or black ballpoint pen to mark your answers on the OMR sheet. Pencils are not allowed.
  6. Once you mark an answer, you cannot change it.
