The application process for SSC CGL 2026 is entirely online and must be completed through the official SSC website or the my SSC mobile application. Candidates should follow these steps carefully to ensure their application is submitted successfully.

  • Visit the official SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in.

  • First-time applicants must complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) by clicking "New User? Register Now."

  • Fill the OTR form with personal information, contact details, educational qualifications, and Photo ID details. A Registration ID and Password will be sent to the registered email and mobile number.

  • Log in to the SSC website using your Registration ID and Password.

  • Click on “Apply” in the “Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026” section under the “Latest Notifications” tab.

  • The application form will auto-populate information from your OTR data. Candidates can edit OTR details if necessary.

  • Fill in examination preferences, educational qualifications, and other specific details accurately.

  • Capture a live photograph using a webcam or mobile device, ensuring it meets the specified dimensions and quality.

  • Upload a scanned signature in the prescribed format and size.

  • Upload other applicable documents such as Photo ID proof and caste/community certificates.

  • Preview the entire application for any errors before proceeding.

  • Pay the application fee online through the available payment options.

Correction charges for the application form are ₹200 for the first correction and ₹500 for the second correction. These charges apply to all candidates, irrespective of gender or category, and are non-refundable.

When applying for the SSC CGL 2026, candidates must have several documents ready. These documents are essential for both the online application and subsequent verification processes. Ensuring all required documents are prepared correctly will prevent delays or rejection of the application.

  • Mobile Number (to be verified via OTP)

  • Email ID (to be verified via OTP)

  • Aadhaar number or other valid Photo ID (Voter ID Card, PAN, Passport, Driving License, School/College ID, Employer ID)

  • Information about Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination

  • Disability Certificate Number (if PwBD)

  • Caste/Category Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC)

  • Ex-Servicemen certificates (Serving Defence Personnel Certificate, Undertaking, Discharge Certificate)

  • Age relaxation certificate (if applicable)

  • Central Govt. Civilian Employees certificate (if applicable)

  • Live photograph captured via webcam/mobile device (4 KB to 12 KB, Resolution: 100x120 pixels, white or light-colored background, clear, without cap, mask, or glasses/spectacles)

  • Scanned signature (black or blue ink on a white sheet, JPEG/JPG, Size: 1 KB to 12 KB, Resolution: 40x60 pixels)

For Document Verification (DV), candidates will need to produce original and photocopies of matriculation/secondary certificates, educational qualification certificates, caste/category certificates (if applicable), PwBD certificates (if applicable), ex-servicemen certificates (if applicable), age relaxation certificates (if applicable), Central Government Civilian Employees certificates (if applicable), No Objection Certificate (if already employed), documents for name change (if applicable), two passport size recent colour photographs, and one original Photo ID Proof. 

An additional original document may be required if the Photo ID does not have the Date of Birth printed on it.

SSC CGL 2026 Selection Process
