SSC CGL Nationality 2026

To meet the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2026, candidates must fulfill any one of the following nationality conditions:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note: Candidates belonging to categories other than Indian citizens must produce a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.

SSC CGL Physical Efficiency Test for Group C Post

For Group ‘C’ posts, the Physical Efficiency Test includes a mandatory one-mile run. Candidates must complete this run within a maximum of 10 minutes, although no specific marks are awarded—only passing is required. It is important to note that candidates selected through the Staff Selection Commission must compulsorily clear this one-mile run at the GREF Centre in Pune. Only after successfully passing this physical test will they be allowed to proceed to the next stage, which is the medical examination.
