SSC GD 2027 Application Form Expected Release Date: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is the government body responsible for organising the SSC GD examination. SSC Calendar Status and Recruitment Notification Delays

SSC recruitment calendar has seen delays in several major exams.

• SSC Junior Engineer (JE): The notification has been delayed by more than 150 days from the planned date.

• SSC CPO and SSC CHSL: These exams have seen delays of around 100 to 130+ days in the application process.

• SSC MTS and SSC GD: These are among the main notifications that are still pending. Both have been delayed by around 80 to 85+ days.

• Original Notification Date: September 30.

The result of the previous SSC GD recruitment cycle is expected between late September and October 10–15. The release of the new SSC GD notification does not depend on the final result of the previous cycle.

Server Load and Application Process

SSC MTS and SSC GD receive a large number of applications. If both application links are opened at the same time, the SSC website may face heavy traffic.

To avoid this problem, the SSC is expected to release the SSC MTS notification first. The SSC GD notification may be released after website traffic becomes normal.

Expected SSC GD Exam Pattern and Sectional Timing

SSC GD Computer-Based Test has four main sections:

1. Mathematics – 20 questions

2. Reasoning – 20 questions

3. General Studies (GS) – 20 questions

4. Hindi or English – 20 questions

Section-Wise Exam Pattern

15-Minute Sectional Timer

A 15-minute sectional timer may be introduced for each subject. This means candidates may get only 15 minutes to answer the 20 questions in each section. General Studies and Language questions may be easier to complete within this time. However, Mathematics and Reasoning may need faster calculation and careful time management. Candidates should start solving sectional mock tests with a fixed time limit. This can help improve speed and accuracy.

Agniveer Reservation and SSC GD Vacancies

• Some paramilitary forces, including CISF and BSF, have reservation provisions for eligible Agniveers.

• The first Agniveer batches in different services will complete their service at different times.

• The Indian Navy batch is expected to complete service around November.

• The Indian Army and Indian Air Force batches are expected to complete their service around January–February.

• The SSC needs to check vacancies from earlier recruitment cycles and include the new reservation rules.

• The final number of SSC GD vacancies will be known after the vacancy details are completed.

Candidates should continue their preparation even if the notification is delayed. A simple daily routine can help maintain regular study.

• 07:45 AM – Current Affairs and Static GK: Read daily news, revise Static GK, and solve practice questions.

• 03:00 PM – Static GK: Study important topics one by one and revise key facts.

• 06:00 PM – General Studies Practice: Solve mock tests and practice questions from different topics.
