SSC CPO Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the SSC CPO Recruitment, candidates must satisfy certain minimum requirements. The SSC CPO eligibility criteria include nationality, educational qualifications, and age limits. Each of these requirements is explained below:

1. Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal, or
3. A subject of Bhutan, or
4. A candidate belonging to categories 2 and 3 above, provided that a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
5. Candidates who require a certificate of eligibility may be allowed to appear for the examination. However, the appointment will be given only after the Government of India issues the certificate.

2. Educational Qualification

• For Sub Inspector (GD) in Delhi Police & CAPFs: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University is mandatory.

• For Sub Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police (Male candidates only): Along with a Bachelor’s Degree, candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date of the Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Without this, candidates will not be permitted to appear for the physical tests.

3. Age Limit (as on 01/08/2025)

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years
• The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02 August 2000 and not later than 01 August 2005.

4. Age Relaxation

Certain categories are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per government norms.
