SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2026 For CBT 

A total of 200 questions will be asked in the Tier I of the SSC Stenographer exam. An applicant may obtain 200 marks if they accurately answer every question. Candidates have two hours to finish this exam. Three primary subjects comprise the questions in Tier I i.e., General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language. Marking Scheme in SSC Stenographer CBT Exam Pattern 2026

SSC Stenographer Exam 2026 has a total of 200 marks. Each correct answer awards 1 mark, while 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. The exam includes three sections: Reasoning (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks), and English Language & Comprehension (100 marks), conducted in online mode.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2026 For Skill Test

Candidates will only be invited to the Skill Test if they receive the required passing scores in the CBT Examination, as determined by the Commission. The Commission is in charge of deciding what the passing scores are for each Written Examination part. As part of the qualification process, candidates must complete a stenography test called the Skill Test. Candidates can select Hindi or English as the language of the skill exam. 

SSC Stenographer Skill Test Pattern 2026

The stenography test, which is another name for this skill test, will be administered at different sub-regional offices and other approved locations. Upon passing the preliminary exam and fulfilling the requirements for the skill test, candidates will have to transcribe one 10-minute dictation in both Hindi and English. A minimum word rate of 100 words per minute is required for Stenographer Grade C positions, while a minimum word rate of 80 words per minute is required for Grade D candidates.
