About the Recruitment

The Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) is a public sector general insurance company, fully owned by the Government of India. The organisation has announced the recruitment of 300 Administrative Officer (AO) Scale-I posts.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For Generalist AO

• Graduation or Post Graduation in any stream from any recognised university.

• Minimum 60% marks (General/OBC/EWS).

• 55% marks for SC/ST candidates.

For Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officer

• Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject at the graduation level

• Minimum 60% marks required.

Age Limit

• 21 to 30 years as on 30 November.

• Age relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years

• OBC: 3 years

• As per government norms for other categories.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Test)

2. Mains Examination (Objective + Descriptive)

3. Interview

Prelims Exam Pattern

Applicable for both Generalist and Hindi Officer.

Total Questions: 100

• Total Marks: 100

• Sectional timing is applicable.

• Top 20 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for Mains.
  
  

Mains Exam Patern (Generalist)

Objective Test:

Total Questions: 200

• Total Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Descriptive Test

• English Language (Essay + Precis)

• Total Marks: 30

• Essay: 20 marks

• Precis: 10 marks

• Duration: 30 minutes

• Conducted online, qualifying in nature.

• Descriptive answer sheets are evaluated only if the candidate qualifies in the objective test.

Interview

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of Mains (objective) will be called for the interview round.
The descriptive test is qualifying and does not count towards the final merit.
