MP Board 12th Class English Syllabus 2025: The MP Board has released the updated English syllabus for Class 12 students for the academic year 2024-25. This syllabus is designed to help students improve their reading, writing, grammar, and literature skills in a structured manner. 

It also includes skill-based assessments to promote overall language development through speaking, listening, and writing activities. MP Board 12th Class English Syllabus 2025 Overview

The English syllabus for Class 12 under MPBSE is divided into four main sections:

• Section A: Reading Skills

• Section B: Writing Skills

• Section C: Grammar

• Section D: Textbooks (Prose, Poetry, and Supplementary Reader)

In addition to the written exam, there is also a Project Work/Skill-Based Assessment for 20 marks which evaluates listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

The objective of the syllabus is to ensure students can comprehend passages, express their ideas through various writing formats, use grammar accurately, and understand the prescribed literature in depth. 

MP Board 12th Class English Syllabus 2025 Exam Pattern

The English exam is conducted for a total of 100 marks, which includes:

• Written Exam: 80 marks

• Project Work (Skill-Based Assessment): 20 marks

Students must go through the MP Board Class 12 Exam Pattern in order to understand the types of questions included in the exam paper. The exam duration is 3 hours.

The exam pattern will include both objective and  subjective questions. It ensures that students understand the basics like sentence structure, synonyms, grammar and learn how to make use of it in a comprehension, essay, or letter writing.

The MP Board 12th Class English Syllabus 2025 is evaluated through a combination of a written examination and internal assessment. The written exam focuses on testing students’ proficiency in reading, writing, grammar, and literature, while the internal assessment promotes practical language application through listening, speaking, and creative writing exercises.

The written exam is divided into four sections: Grammar, Writing, Reading, and Literature. Each section tests’ different language competencies. 1. While preparing for the written exam, give time to Flamingo and Vistas textbooks thoroughly. Learn the themes, character sketches, and important lines as it carries highest marks i.e., 44 marks in the written exam. 

2. The English written exams primarily focus on writing skills. So, practice different formats of writing like letter writing, notices, advertisements, reports, and long compositions.

3. Solve exercises on tenses, prepositions, voice change, and transformation of sentences daily to score well in the grammar section. 

4. As board exams particularly repeat some specific topics/questions. Go through the previous years’ papers and even solve them to get an idea of the types of questions asked in the board exams.

5. Take part in activities like role play, speech, debates, and quiz competitions as it will fetch you good marks in the internal assessment.
