• The maximum loan amount available is Rs.10 lakh, provided at a simple interest rate of 4.00% per annum. Borrowers who consistently pay the interest throughout their study period are eligible for a 1% concession on the interest rate.
• The loan comes with a repayment term of 15 years, which includes a one-year moratorium or repayment holiday.
• Additionally, a life insurance policy, covering the loan amount, will be issued in the student's name.
• The student is responsible for the insurance premium, which may be deducted directly from the loan account.
• This arrangement ensures financial protection and supports the student's educational journey while offering a manageable repayment structure.
• The policy also provides peace of mind by securing coverage against unforeseen circumstances, further easing the financial aspects of pursuing higher education.

WB Student Credit Card Eligibility Criteria

• To qualify, you must be an Indian national who has resided in West Bengal for at least the past ten years.
• Additionally, you should be 40 years of age or younger. Eligibility extends to individuals who have enrolled in higher education institutions, including schools, colleges, universities, madrasahs, and prestigious academic institutions such as IIMs, IIESTs, IITs, NLUs, and NITs, whether in India or abroad.
• The scheme also covers those enrolled in coaching institutes for competitive exams like IAS, medical entrance tests, engineering exams, SSC, and IPS.
• This broad eligibility ensures that students from diverse educational backgrounds and those pursuing advanced training for competitive exams can benefit from the scheme, facilitating access to higher education and professional development opportunities.

Steps to Apply for WB Student Credit Card

1. Go to https://wbscc.wb.gov.in/ and select 'Student Registration.'
2. Fill in your basic details, such as your name, gender, and date of birth.
3. Provide information about your institution, including its name, state, and district.
4. Specify the name and type of your program.
5. Enter your mobile number and email address.
6. Create a secure password and confirm it by entering it again.
7. Click on the 'Register' button.
8. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP to complete the verification process.

WBJEE 2024 TFW Scheme

1. Go to https://wbscc.wb.gov.in/ and log in to your account.
2. Check your name, registration number, and contact details on the dashboard.
3. Click on 'Apply Now.'
4. Fill in the required personal information, including your name, co-borrower/legal guardian’s name, father's name, date of birth, and more.
5. If you do not possess a PAN card or Aadhaar card, select 'No' for both. You will need to download, complete, and submit an Undertaking Document in this case.
6. Enter the details of the co-borrower, such as their address and occupation.
7. Provide your current and permanent address details.
8. Enter information about your course, including the course fee, start year, and loan amount.
9. Input your bank details and those of the co-borrower.
10. Click on 'Edit Loan Application' if you need to make any changes.
11. Click 'Save & Continue' to proceed without modifications.
12. Upload scanned copies of all required documents.
13. Authorize the application by clicking 'Save & Continue.'
14. Review your application details thoroughly before selecting 'Submit Application.'
15. Confirm your submission request.
