Gujarat ranked first in the economic category because it has a high per capita GSDP, strong foreign investment, and good capital formation. Karnataka and Maharashtra came next, doing well because of their strong industrial and service sectors. In Group B, Sikkim was the best performer in economic factors.
Odisha ranked highest for fiscal management, with efficient debt control and low revenue deficit. Gujarat and Maharashtra also performed well. Uttarakhand led in Group B for fiscal discipline.
Maharashtra topped this category, driven by high credit disbursement and deep mutual fund and insurance penetration. Telangana and Haryana followed. Goa was the leader in Group B.
Punjab and Haryana led among large states, with strong power, rail, and irrigation infrastructure. Goa excelled in Group B, especially in transport and healthcare infrastructure.
Kerala topped the social pillar, excelling in literacy, health, and poverty reduction, though unemployment remains a concern. Tamil Nadu also performed consistently well. Goa and Mizoram led in Group B.
Andhra Pradesh was the top state for governance, with high scores in court efficiency and public services. Madhya Pradesh followed closely. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh excelled in Group B.
Karnataka led in environmental sustainability, especially in air quality and renewable energy. Telangana performed well in forest cover and water access. Himachal Pradesh stood out in Group B for green energy and conservation.
