SDM Salary Career Growth and Increment
During the training period, RAS officers start out serving as executive magistrates and assistant collectors. After the training, they get an SDM posting. According to the norms issued by the state government, SDM is promoted through the Departmental Promotion Committee, which is headed by the Chairman of the Commission. Those sent to cities in the Z category will earn an HRA value of 8%, while those deployed to Y category areas will receive a value of 16%. But only those who haven't used government housing will be eligible for HRA. Electricity Bills Officers' official residence is either fully funded or greatly subsidized.
- Travel Allowance (TA): Officers get a TA to help pay for necessary travel expenses.
- Service Quarter Officers are assigned a service quarter where they are posted in addition to residing in the state capital.
- Phone Bills: Three BSNL SIM cards with free internet, SMS, and voice time are given to officers. They also have a BSNL telephone at home and a free internet connection.
- Official and Unofficial Trips: Officers may stay in circuit houses, government bungalows, or rest houses at a discounted cost for both official and unofficial travel to other states.
- Household Staff: To handle everyday duties at their official residence or service quarter, officers employ personal housekeepers.
- Official Accommodation: Posted in the VVIP-restricted area of the state capital, officers are granted access to a duplex home. Officers who obtain official housing, nonetheless, will not be eligible for HRA.
- Dearness Allowance (DA): Among the finest advantages of the officer salary structure is the DA. The Dearness Allowance component of the income is adjusted every six months, in January and July of each year, according to the Consumer Price Index, or inflation index (CPI).
