Assam PGT Teacher Selection Process 2024
Candidates will be selected in the Assam PGT Teacher Recruitment 2024 based on their performance in the written examination and merit list. Those who qualify for both rounds will be selected for Post Graduate Teacher post.Assam PGT Teacher Written Exam
The Assam PGT examination will be held for candidates selected by the committee based on their educational qualifications. The examination will be 2½ hours in duration and will consist of 140 questions of 1 mark each. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks per question for the wrong answer as well as selecting more than one option of a question. The question paper will be given in multi-lingual form, viz. Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English medium, however in case of confusion/ discrepancies, the English version shall be treated as authentic version. - The Assam PGT merit list of candidates for Graduate Teacher/ Post Graduate Teacher shall be based on the total of marks obtained in the TET examination
- For selection of the last candidate or determining merit, where a specified number of candidates have to be selected if two or more candidates have the same marks, the following procedure shall be followed:
- The candidate obtaining higher marks in the written examination shall be selected;
- If the selection cannot be made after following the above process, the candidate with an earlier date of birth shall be selected;
