Under Bihar Government Resolution No. 15568, the examination fee structure is set as follows:

• Application Fee (All Candidates): ₹100

• Biometric Fee: ₹200 (Applicable only to candidates who choose not to provide their national identity number as ID in the application form).

• Bank Transaction Charges: Extra as levied by the payment gateway.

How to Apply for BPSC TRE 4.0 (Advt 15/2026)

The application process is completed through the commission's official portal:

1. One Time Registration (OTR): Visit bpsconline.bihar.gov.in and select New User Registration to set up a profile and receive your login credentials.

2. DigiLocker Integration: Link your DigiLocker account through the Meri Pehchan portal to import and verify requisite certificates.

3. Profile Completion (6 Steps):

• Step 1: Personal details & reservation categories.

• Step 2: Permanent & correspondence addresses.

• Step 3: Declarations/other mandatory info.

• Step 4: Educational qualifications (10th standard upwards).

• Step 5: Relevant teaching experience (if applicable).

• Step 6: Live webcam photo capture, Hindi & English signature upload, and Profile Lock.

4. Post Preference Selection: Under the "New Application" tab, select post preferences (e.g., Classes 11–12, 1–5, 6–8, 9–10) under the single-application, one-candidate-one-result protocol.

5. Fee Payment & Form Submission: Complete fee payment through the SBI gateway, review all inputs, submit the form, and download two printouts containing the generated Application Number and Barcode for records.

BPSC TRE 4.0 Eligibility Criteria 2026

Applicants must be Indian citizens and hold the specified academic, professional training, and Teacher Eligibility Test qualifications.

Primary Teacher (Classes 1–5)

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (or 45% as per NCTE 2002 regulations) and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) / 4-year B.El.Ed. / 2-year Diploma in Special Education.

• TET Qualification: CTET Paper-I or BTET Paper-I.

Middle School Teacher (Classes 6–8)

• Graduation in relevant subjects along with a 2-year D.El.Ed., B.Ed., 4-year B.El.Ed., B.Sc.Ed./B.A.Ed., or BCA with relevant training.

• TET Qualification: CTET Paper-II or BTET Paper-II.

Secondary Teacher (Classes 9–10)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (45% for specific NCTE regulations) along with a B.Ed. or 4-year integrated B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.

• TET Qualification: STET Paper-I.

Higher Secondary Teacher (Classes 11–12)

• Master’s degree in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks (45% per NCTE norms) along with a B.Ed. or 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (B.Ed. not mandatory for Computer Science).

• TET Qualification: STET Paper-II.

Appearing Candidates Note: Candidates appearing in STET 2026 who hold necessary academic/training qualifications may apply by submitting a self-declaration, provided they pass STET 2026 before the objective written exam.

• Primary & Middle School (Classes 1–8): 18 years

• Secondary & Higher Secondary (Classes 9–12): 21 year

• BC / EBC (Male & Female): 40 years

BPSC TRE 4.0 Exam Pattern & Negative Marking

The written examination consists of a single paper containing multiple parts, evaluated on an objective MCQ format.

• Total Questions: 150

• Total Marks: 150

• Exam Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes

• Negative Marking (Crucial Update): 1/3 mark deduction for every incorrect answer.

• Five-Option Rule: Every question has 5 options (A, B, C, D, E). If you do not wish to answer, you must mark Option E. Leaving all five options blank will be treated as an incorrect attempt and penalized with a 1/3 mark deduction.

BPSC TRE 4.0 Selection Process & Salary

• Selection Method: Objective Written Examination followed by Document Verification. No interview is conducted.

• Merit List Rule: For Classes 1–5, the merit list is prepared on Part-II marks. For Classes 6–12, it is based on aggregate marks of Part-II + Part-III. Part-I serves as a qualifying tie-breaker.

• Maximum Attempts: Eligible candidates may attempt the examination up to 5 times.

• Primary Teacher (Classes 1–5): ₹25,000
