The level of EMRS TGT science syllabus 2025 includes a combination of both the old and new subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Environmental Science. The entire syllabus is meant to evaluate the understanding of the candidate, the use of science, and the proper spreading of science at the school level.
The topics include:
Physics: Effect of current, light, sources of energy, motion (force and laws of Newton), work, energy and power, gravitation, flotation, and sound.
Chemistry: States of Matter, Structure of Atoms, Periodic Classification of Elements, Chemical Substances and their reactions, Physical/chemical properties of Metals and Non-metals, Carbon Compounds, Conservation of Natural Resources, Man-made Materials.
Biology: Life Processes, Control and coordination, Reproduction, Heredity and Evolution, Human eye and Colourful world, Ultimate building block of life (Cells), Tissues, multiplicity of life, Why do we fall ill, Why is there an improvement in food resources.
EVS/Environmental Science, Natural Resources and conservation, Man-made materials, Biodiversity.
EMRS TGT Science Exam is a two-step system. In order to become an EMRS Science teacher, the candidates must pass both levels to be finally selected.
Tier-I: 100 mark written test and 20 mark language-based test (qualifying only), time duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are questions that deal with General Awareness, Reasoning, ICT, Teaching Aptitude, Language and Domain Knowledge in Science.
Tier-II: Subject-specific knowledge- this stage is to be taken by shortlisted candidates in Tier-I. The exam also examines deeper knowledge and instructing competence in science, whereby one has a duration of about 3 hours to complete it.
The best way to prepare to take the EMRS TGT Science exam is to take the following:
Go through every subject in the subject syllabus with special focus on the areas of core Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
To start getting familiar with a particular pattern of exam questions and the kind of questions that were asked previously, solve some past year question papers.
Write an online note on the chapter per unit - this will be highly adaptable in recalling any formulas or important points to use under a time constraint.
Representations of practice and scientific language are two concepts that are usually assessed in an objective form or written form in examinations.
Plan study time to ensure you start with weak areas and take up chapters that you have studied before at least once a day, preferably.
Monitor updates and news that can be found on official websites.
Building your confidence by having a sane and systematic plan - keeping track of your progress.
