The board has recently released the official notification as per which the selection process will have multi-levels. The candidates have to qualify for each of the levels with the minimum qualifying marks to get a place in the RRB Teacher Merit List PDF.

The RRB Teacher Selection Process for 2025 has been designed to evaluate candidates for various teaching positions within the Railway Recruitment Boards. This process consists of three key stages: the Computer Based Test (CBT), the Teacher Skill Test, and Document Verification.Computer Based Test

RRB Teacher Teaching Test 2025
Recruitment for Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Physical Training Instructors (PTIs), and Primary Teachers (PRTs) will be based on a Written Test (CBT) and a Teaching Skill Test, with a weightage ratio of 85:15. For specialized positions such as Music Teacher, TGT/Music, TGT/Craft, and TGT/Drawing, the selection will consider the Written Test (CBT), Performance Test, and Skill Test in a ratio of 60:25:15, respectively.Teaching Skill Test
The Teaching Skill Test will evaluate various competencies, including Teaching Ability, Methodology, Content Expertise, and Communication Skills, among others. Candidates will be required to present topics from their subject using PowerPoint or other available teaching aids, with topics assigned by the Committee on the spot. Preparation time will be provided, and the Skill Test duration will range from 15 to 30 minutes, carrying a total of 150 marks. While there are no minimum qualifying marks, the Skill Test will contribute 15% to the overall score. Additionally, there is a possibility that the Skill Test may be video-recorded.Performance Test
Candidates for the positions of Music Teacher and Trained Graduate Teacher/Music will be evaluated based on their skills in singing, instrumental performance, Presentation Skills, Coordination, Expression, Energy Level, Rhythm, and their ability to experiment with art forms, imagination, and innovation. For Trained Graduate Teacher/Craft and Trained Graduate Teacher/Drawing, assessment will focus on the performance of various art forms, including paintings, sketches, and crafts, emphasizing creativity, aesthetic sensibility, observation skills, originality, and the ability to correlate art with real life. The topics for the Performance Test will be assigned by the Committee on the spot, and candidates will have adequate preparation time, utilizing available teaching aids. The Performance Test will be scored out of 100 marks, with no minimum qualifying marks required. However, it will account for 25% of the total score, and there is a possibility that the test may be video-recorded.Railway Teacher Document Verification 2025
Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on their performance in the CBT, Performance Test, and Translation Test, as applicable, by merit and available vacancies. In case of ties, age will be the deciding factor, followed by alphabetical order of names. Candidates must provide valid community certificates during verification; failure to do so will result in disqualification.
