UPTET Certificate Validity: The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) assesses teaching eligibility in Uttar Pradesh schools. The UPESSC conducts this state-level exam, with the 2026 exam scheduled for 2nd, 3rd and 4th July 2026. The UPTET Certificate holds a lifetime validity. The authority has decided to remove the 5-year certificate validity rule. UPTET will have the same lifetime certificate validity as the CTET teaching examination.

Candidates who have appeared for the UPTET examination should know that their certificate obtained after appearing in the examination will hold lifetime validity. It is great news for candidates preparing for the TET teaching entrance examination. Candidates can start their teaching career in government and private educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh.
The UPTET stands for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a state-level exam held once every year. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) conducts this test. The main purpose is to identify qualified teachers for schools in Uttar Pradesh. The exam consists of two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is intended for those seeking to teach classes 1 to 5. Paper 2 is designed for those aiming to teach classes 6 to 8. Both papers are conducted offline and consist of multiple-choice questions. Upon passing, candidates receive a certificate that remains valid for a lifetime.
The UPESSC issues the UPTET Eligibility Certificate. It is not available online. Candidates collect physical certificates from DIET offices across Uttar Pradesh. The UPBEB will announce collection dates.
Documents for verification include:
UPTET Mark Sheet, Application Form, Admit Card.
Registration number, Original educational certificate, and Photo ID.
Caste Certificate (if applicable), Special Reservation Letter (if applicable).
After verification, the certificate is issued with the name, photo, category, and marks.
Errors can be corrected within two years of receipt of the UPTET Certificate. Apply to the District Education and Training Institute and the Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority. Submit through the District Education Officer.
A Rs. 500/- fee is required, payable via demand draft to 'The Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh, 23 Allenganj, Prayagraj'. Only name, father’s name, and mother’s name errors are correctable. No changes to the photograph, caste, or reservation category are permitted.
Candidates need to apply to the Secretary, Examination Regulatory Authority, Allenganj 23, Prayagraj, requesting a duplicate. It happens to get a duplicate UPTET Certificate.

Attested High School Certificate & educational qualification.
Copy of original UPTET certificate, original newspaper loss announcement.
Copy of FIR reporting original UPTET certificate loss.
