MP SET 2025 is the necessary test to take by the intending candidates who want to be the Assistant Professors of the places they would prefer to be the same in whichever colleges or universities in Madhya Pradesh.
MP SET 2025 is a state-level test administered by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC). It is carried out in the assignment against qualified assistant professor positions in institutions of higher learning such as universities and colleges within the State of Madhya Pradesh. MP SET is divided into two papers- Paper 1 is general awareness, teaching and research aptitude, and Paper 2 is subjects-based based on 31 subjects.
It is an entirely off-line test that is based on multiple choice questions (MCQ) and has no negative marking. General candidates have a passing percentage of 40 and reserved categories have a passing percentage of 35 in Paper I and Paper II. The certificate that is received upon successfully qualifying the MP SET will last throughout life. The candidates who eventually receive an appointment will be paid a starting salary with allowances. It is expected that the exam timetable of the MP SET 2025 will be conducted in January 2026.

MP SET 2025 official notification has been published by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. According to the notification, the MP SET will be conducted in respect of 31 subjects. The official detailed notification is expected to be released soon, which defines the eligibility. As per the recent trends, to appear for MP SET 2025, candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria:
Candidates should have a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university in the subject they want to appear for.
General category candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in their Master’s degree.
Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) have a relaxation to 50% marks.
Candidates in their final year of the Master’s program can also apply, provided they complete their degree within the given time frame.
There is no upper age limit for MP SET 2025 candidates.

The application fee is Rs. 500 for general category candidates and Rs. 250 for reserved categories, including an additional portal fee of Rs. 40.

MP SET 2025 usually has two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Overall, both papers will assess the candidate's ability to teach and research in practice.
Paper 1 is a general paper on teaching and research aptitude, covering a range of topics which include teaching methods, research aptitude, logical reasoning, comprehension, communication skills, data interpretation, ICT, environmental awareness, and higher education systems.
Paper 2 is subject-specific based on the candidate’s subject of choice (Physics, History, Commerce, etc) - subject knowledge and theories for the subject field are assessed in this paper.
MP SET 2025 exam is conducted in offline mode and includes two objective papers. Each question carries 2 marks with no negative marking. Candidates must answer multiple-choice questions, matching, true/false, and assertion-reasoning type questions. There is no break between the two papers during the exam.
