UGC NET Geography Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the UGC NET Geography Exam 2024, candidates must meet the following UGC NET Eligibility Criteria :
  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Candidates must have completed a Master’s degree or equivalent in Geography from a recognized university.
    • The minimum qualifying marks are 55% for General category candidates and 50% for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and Third gender candidates.
  2. Age Limit:
    • For the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the maximum age limit is 31 years as of 1st June 2024. Age relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to candidates belonging to OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and women applicants.
    • There is no upper age limit for the position of Assistant Professor.
  3. Age Relaxations:
    • Candidates with a Ph.D. degree whose Master’s level examination was completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result) are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%).

UGC NET Geography Answer Key 2024

The NTA is responsible for conducting the UGC NET Geography exam. After the examination, the NTA will release the provisional answer keys on its website. The provisional answer key will be available for two to three days. Candidates who want to challenge any answer key will need to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 200 per challenged answer key.
