It is also included in the list of 22 scheduled languages of the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India.

- Part of the Constitution : The inclusion of Hindi in Article 343(I) of the Official Language of the Union and Article 351 of the Constitution reflects its importance in the socio-political landscape of India.
