Applicants must possess 10th with ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trades from a recognized Institution.

Minimum Age Limit: 14 years
Maximum Age Limit: 18 years
Note:
Candidates born before June 2010 are eligible for non-hazardous trades and candidates born before June 2006 are eligible for hazardous trades.
Minimum Physical Standards
Candidate should meet the following physical standards:
Height - 150 cm, Weight not less than 45 Kg, Chest expansion (not less than 5 cm), Eyesight: 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses), all the external & internal organs should be normal.
Naval Dockyard Apprentice Selection Process 2024
The selection procedure to be followed by the authorities for selecting 301 trade apprentices is discussed below:
Shortlisting:
The shortlisting of eligible candidates will be done based on the merit of aggregate marks obtained in the ITI trade. In case of a tie, the marks secured in the 10th standard will be compared. In the case of a further tie, the candidate's date of birth will be compared, and the older applicants will be placed first among others. Note, for non-ITI posts, the shortlisting will be done via 10th or 8th Class marks.
Written Exam:
The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a written examination. The exam will comprise Multiple Choice Questions [General Science 35, Mathematics (Numerical Aptitude) 35, General Awareness (common for all trades) 301. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers and the time duration for the exam will be 2 hours.
Provisional Merit List:
Upon completion of the written exam, the provisional selection list of candidates will be published based on marks secured in the examination.
Interview:
The interview of provisionally selected candidates will be conducted in Mumbai. The date of the interview will be intimated to the registered email ID of applicants.
Document Verification:
During the interview, the document verification and oral test will also take place. Candidates must bring SSC / Matriculation Certificate, lTl Certificate, Aadhar Card, Caste Certificate (if applicable), PwD Certificate (if applicable), Ex-Serviceman/ Armed Force Personnel Certificate (if applicable), and Sports Certificate (if applicable).
Final Merit List:
