RRB JE CBT-1 ECE Syllabus 2026: Subject-Wise Topics and Exam Pattern

If you are preparing for RRB JE with an Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) background, you may wonder whether you need to study technical ECE subjects for CBT 1. You do not. The RRB JE CBT-1 syllabus is common for candidates from different engineering disciplines.

The RRB JE CBT-1 ECE Syllabus covers four sections: Mathematics, General Science, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness. The exam has 100 objective-type questions carrying 100 marks, and the total duration is 90 minutes. RRB JE CBT-1 ECE Exam Pattern

Is ECE Technical Syllabus Included in CBT 1?

No. ECE technical subjects such as electronic devices, digital electronics, communication systems, signals and systems, network theory and other branch-specific topics are not part of the CBT 1 paper.
