New Sliding Mechanism System

SSC has introduced a Sliding Mechanism System to improve post allocation.

Here’s how it works in simple terms:

  • Candidates get an initial post allocation based on merit and preference

  • They can choose:

    • Fix option: Accept the allotted post

    • Float option: Wait for a better post if available

  • A single sliding round helps optimize final allocation

  • Identity verification is stricter, including biometric and Aadhaar-based checks

  • Final merit list is prepared after adjusting for absentees and preferences

This system ensures fewer vacancies remain unfilled and improves fairness in allocation.

SSC JE Final Merit List

The final merit list is prepared based on:

  • Paper 1 score

  • Paper 2 score

  • Preference and allocation system

Candidates who score higher on Paper 2 usually get a better ranking in tie situations.
