IFSCA Grade A Selection Process 2025: IFSCA Grade A Exam is one of the banking exams to recruit eligible candidates for the Grade A posts in  the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA). The IFSCA Grade A selection process 2025 comprises three stages, i.e., IFSCA Grade A Phase I Exam, IFSCA Grade A Phase II Exam, and IFSCA Grade A Interview.

Furthermore, the IFSCA Grade A exam for Phase I carries 100 marks, as well as the Phase II exam carries 100 marks. IFSCA Grade A Selection Process 2025

International Financial Services Centres Authority released the selection process through official IFSCA Grade A Notification 2025 pdf file. Candidates must know the IFSCA Grade A selection rounds well to understand the requirements and trends of the IFSCA Grade A exam. The IFSCA Grade A Selection Process consists of 3 phases, these are-

IFSCA Grade A Exam Pattern 2025 - Phase I

IFSCA Recruitment 2025 Phase 1 exam has 2 papers. The cumulative threshold required to pass the 1st stage of the online exam is 40%. All interested candidates can check the IFSCA Grade A (Assistant Manager) Phase I Online Examination from both the details in the table below.
  • There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • The duration of the Exam is 60 minutes.
  • There is minimum qualifying mark for Paper 1 is 30% and the minimum qualifying mark is  40% for Paper 2.

IFSCA Grade A Exam Pattern 2025 - Phase II

For the general stream, Paper II contains multiple choice questions on general knowledge, current affairs of national and international importance, economic and social development (sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, and demography), business, accounting, management, finance, and cost accounting. , Indian Economy, World Economy, Five Year Plans, State Government Initiatives/Programs in Financial Sector. For Legal Stream, Paper II consists of multiple choice questions (MCQs) on specialized subject related to stream.
  • Phase II exam consists of two papers. These are Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Paper 1 consists of the topics from English (Descriptive Test) and Paper 2 consists of Multiple-choice questions.
  • Duration of each exam is 60 minutes.
  • There will be negative marking of 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer for Paper 2 in Phase II.
  • The minimum qualifying mark in Paper 1 is 30% for Paper 1 and in Paper 2 the minimum qualifying mark is 40%.

IFSCA Grade A Exam Stages 2025

The IFSCA Grade A exam for 2025 happens in three main stages: Phase 1, Phase 2, and a final Interview round. First, candidates take an online screening test (Phase 1) covering various subjects. Those who pass move to another online exam (Phase 2) with both descriptive and objective questions. After clearing Phase 2, shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. Only those who pass all stages can proceed for document verification and final selection. This step-by-step process is followed to select the most suitable candidates.

IFSCA Grade A Phase 1 Exam Process

The first stage is Phase 1, an online test with two papers held on the same day. Paper 1 covers General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning, with 25 questions each, 1 mark per question, in 60 minutes. Paper 2 tests knowledge of topics like the Indian economy, finance, management, and current affairs, with 50 questions of 2 marks each in 60 minutes. There is a 1/4 negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates must score minimum marks (Paper 1: 30%, Paper 2: 40%) and an overall 40% to qualify for Phase 2, but Phase 1 marks are only for shortlisting, not for final selection.

IFSCA Grade A Phase 2 Exam Process

In Phase 2, again two papers are taken online. Paper 1 is descriptive English, where candidates write an essay, précis, and comprehension for 100 marks in 60 minutes. Paper 2 is an objective test with 50 questions on finance, Indian economy, IFSCA laws, markets, and more, also for 100 marks in 60 minutes. Paper 2 has negative marking of 1/4 for wrong answers. Candidates must score at least 30% in Paper 1 and 40% in Paper 2, with an overall 50% needed to move to the interview stage.

IFSCA Grade A Interview Process

Candidates who succeed in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 are called for the Interview, which tests personality, communication, and knowledge of the job. The interview panel asks practical, situational, and job-related questions. This round helps check if a candidate has the confidence and skills to work as an Assistant Manager in IFSCA. Interview marks are added to the merit list with 15% weight; the remaining 85% comes from Phase 2 scores. Only top scorers across all three stages reach the next step.

IFSCA Grade A Document Verification

After clearing the interview, candidates must show their original documents for verification like educational certificates, ID proof, and other required papers. This step checks if all information given during the application and exam is correct. Candidates failing to present the correct documents or with errors may lose their chance for selection. Only those passing this stage go for the final appointment. Document verification ensures only genuine and eligible candidates are selected.

IFSCA Grade A Final Merit List 2025

The final merit list is prepared after all exam stages, interview, and document verification are complete. Marks from Phase 2 (85% weight) and the Interview (15% weight) are combined to make the final score. Phase 1 marks are not counted in the final result. Candidates are ranked as per their total score, and top scorers are chosen as Assistant Managers. Only those appearing in the final merit list get job offers from IFSCA for the year 2025.

IFSCA Grade A Recruitment Process Steps

The full process starts with online application and fee payment. Eligible candidates appear for Phase 1 (screening test). Those who qualify appear in Phase 2 (main exam), then the interview for shortlisted candidates. After the interview, selected candidates provide documents for verification. Finally, a merit list is made, and job offers are sent to top candidates as per vacancies. Each step must be completed correctly to get selected as IFSCA Grade A Assistant Manager.
