• The Mains Exam consists of 200 questions divided into five sections: English language, Quantitative Aptitude, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Reasoning Ability.
• You'll have a total of 135 minutes to complete the entire exam. There are specific time limits for each section, which are mentioned separately.
• If you answer a question incorrectly, you'll lose 0.25 marks as a penalty, but there is no penalty for leaving a question unanswered.
• All the questions in the Mains Exam are of the multiple-choice (Objective) type.
• For all sections except the English Language, you can choose to answer questions in either English or Hindi.
• Importantly, the marks you obtain in the Mains Exam will be counted when preparing the final merit list. Candidates who pass the Mains Exam will also be invited for a Language Proficiency Test.
