Process of ICAI Campus Placement

Step 1: Registration

• Platform: The entire process is conducted online through the ICAI web portal (Committee for Members in Industry & Business or CMI&B).
• Eligibility: CAs who have qualified in the May exams can register for the September programme, while those who qualified in November can register for the January programme. Candidates who completed their articleship but missed the immediate placement due to incomplete articleship can also register for the next available session.
• Age Requirement: Candidates under 21 years need special permission from CMI&B.

Step 2: Shortlisting

• Criteria: Employers shortlist candidates based on academic performance, experience, and other criteria such as rank or achievements.
• Notification: Shortlisted candidates receive tentative interview dates and locations through the portal.

Step 3: Interviews

• Centers: Interviews are conducted in two phases - at major centers (e.g., Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata) and smaller centers (e.g., Noida, Chandigarh, Indore).
• Selection: Candidates not selected in major centers get another opportunity at smaller centers.

Step 4: Post-Selection

• Consent: Candidates who receive job offers must give their consent to join. Once consent is given, candidates are not allowed to attend other interviews.
• Documentation: Candidates must carry original documents and the registration form on the day of the interview.
