ICITSS 2024, Registration Process and Syllabus Details

ICITSS 2024: Under the new CA syllabus, students must undergo Information Technology Training in two phases. The first phase occurs before commencing Articleship (practical training), and the second phase occurs before attempting the CA Final examinations.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has introduced two courses for this purpose: the Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) and Advanced ICITSS. Both courses span four weeks, equivalent to 30 days.

ICITSS 2024 Registration Process

There are two courses available at ICITSS for registration. The first course is termed Management & Communication Skills (MCS), while the second is termed Advanced Information Technology Course. Follow the registration process for ICITSS:
  • Enter your complete information to log in to the online portal you want at icaionlineregistration.org.
  • Follow the directions provided by the Authority.
  • Register for the specific batch that the Program Organizing Unit (POU) has provided for proper registration.
  • Pay online with a credit or debit card.
  • After paying for registration, acquiring an Admit Card, and retaining a printout for your records, you will get an Acknowledgment Slip.
  • Send the Acknowledgment Slip and other relevant documentation to the relevant POU at least four days before the start of the batch.
  • The appropriate POU will eventually certify your actual ICITSS registration after verification.

Guidelines for ICITSS Advanced Information Technology Course

Given below are the various guidelines regarding the ICITSS Advanced Information Technology Course:

Objectives:

The primary goal of the of the Advanced Information Technology Course ICITSS is to prepare entrants for the accounting profession by:
  • Introducing them to various aspects of the Indian Accountancy Profession.
  • Enhancing their communication and presentation skills.
  • Motivating them to become knowledgeable and skilled professionals.
  • Emphasizing the importance of practical training in their professional journey.

Eligibility of ICITSS Advanced Information Technology Course:

Students must undergo the Orientation Course before enrolling in practical training.

Duration:

The course spans 90 hours (15 days x 6 hours/day) with classes held for 6 hours each day for 6 days a week. The curriculum covers diverse topics, including About the E Learning-Computer Fundamentals, Operating Systems, CBS, MS – Word, MS – Excel, MS – PowerPoint, Data Bases using MS Access, CAAT, Accounting Package, Institute, Academic & Technical Guidance, General Management, Developing Personal Traits, Business Communication, Presentation, Interpersonal & Negotiation Skills, Office Procedure, Business Environment, and Strategic Decision Making.

Teaching Methodology:

The course employs various teaching methods, including lectures, case studies, presentations, group discussions, management games, and projects.

Enrollment:

Students can enroll through a transparent "First Come First Serve" basis via the online portal www.icaionlineregistration.org.

Fee Structure:

The non-residential fee is capped at Rs.7500 per student, covering the course, study material, and refreshments. No demand drafts are accepted; only online payments are allowed.

Batch Transfer Fee:

A Rs.500 Batch Transfer Fee is imposed on students not informing about their absence from classes, payable through a Demand Draft.

Residential MCS Course:

Branches organizing residential MCS Courses follow a similar session plan, with a fee of Rs.20,000 per participant, non-refundable but transferable in case of a need.

Penalty for Absence from OC Classes:

A Rs.500 penalty is imposed on students not informing about their absence from AIT classes.

Exemption for Disabled Students:

Students with 50% or above permanent disability are exempted from fees and attendance requirements, with options for class attendance or test papers.

Online Portal:

The AIT/MCS operations are exclusively online through www.icaionlineregistration.org, covering registration, attendance, faculty allocation, feedback, and certificate generation.

Dress Code:

Students must adhere to a formal dress code, respecting local culture and traditions. The advisory dress code includes full-sleeves shirts and trousers for males and sarees/salwar kameez/suits for females.

General Guidelines:

Students are urged to complete the course without interruptions. Absences may be allowed in exceptional circumstances. Cameras and photographs are prohibited during sessions.

Guidelines for ICITSS Management & Communication Skills Course

Below we have provided the guidelines for the ICITSS Management & Communication Skills Course:

Objectives:

The Management & Communication Skills Course is designed to equip students with essential skills, including:
  • Enhancing communication and presentation proficiency.
  • Developing interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Providing insight into the contemporary business environment and opportunities.
  • Preparing students for careers, fostering adaptability and accountability.

Eligibility:

For students under the old scheme, the course is mandatory before applying for Institute membership. Under the new scheme, students must complete the course in the last two years of practical training, compulsory before the final examination.

Duration:

The course spans 15 full-time days, with 6-hour classes held for 6 days a week, totaling 90 hours. The curriculum covers Business Communication, Presentation, Interpersonal & Negotiation Skills, Leadership, Team Building, Career Development, Office Etiquettes, Interview Preparation, Strategic Thinking, and Professional Ethics.

Teaching Methodology:

The course utilizes diverse methods, including lectures, case studies, presentations, group discussions, and projects.

Enrollment:

Enrollment is on a "First Come First Serve" basis through the online portal www.icaionlineregistration.org.

Fee Structure:

General Guidelines:

No cameras or photographs are allowed during MCS/OC sessions. It is necessary for students to finish the course completely. Absences beyond two days or four sessions require notification to the Board of Studies for cancellation. Misbehavior may result in withholding the Course Completion Certificate based on faculty notes.

ICITSS 2024 FAQs

Is it possible for someone to have both titles of CMA and CA simultaneously?

Yes, if you'd like, you may pursue both the CMA and the CA. Although the two courses' syllabuses are similar, they are not identical.

Is it possible for me to do BMS with CA?

The Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) is not compatible with the CA since it is an equivalent management study to the MBA.
