CUET 2025 May 27 Exam Analysis : The National Testing Agency (NTA) efficiently held the CUET 2025 exam on May 27, 2025. Students can now view the detailed subject-wise analysis of the exams held during this shift. Based on student responses, the CUET 2025 English Shift 1 exam was perceived as easy. In Shift 2, the Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning sections were rated as easy to moderate in difficulty, while most students found the Current Affairs and General Knowledge section to be easy.
CUET 2025 English paper comprised 50 mandatory multiple-choice questions, with no choice of alternative questions. The test had to be completed in 60 minutes. According to the official marking scheme, one 5-mark correct answer and a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect response. CUET UG 2025 examinations, conducted for admission into undergraduate programs at over 200 universities across India, are set to be held from May 13 to June 3, 2025.

As per the latest announcement from NTA, Accountancy paper contained an optional question under Unit V. Students were not presented with both questions of Analysis of Financial Statements and Computerised Accounting System. Instead, they had to choose beforehand which unit they wanted to attempt. This update surprised most students and had an effect on their overall experience of the paper. Those who appeared between May 13 and May 16 can either keep their original result or re-appear with the revised pattern. Detailed instructions will be released soon.

Based on feedback from students, the English paper was generally considered easy, allowing most candidates to attempt it comfortably. However, a few students pointed out that one question in the Reading Comprehension section seemed incorrect and unrelated to the passage. This concern has been brought to attention, but the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet provided an official response. Other than this issue, students found the rest of the paper to be balanced and well-organized.
The approximate breakdown of questions in the CUET English exam on May 27 is as follows:
Reading Comprehension: 3 passages (One passage focused on the human body)
Vocabulary: 6 to 7 questions
Idioms and Phrases: 2 to 3 questions
Grammar: 2 questions
Rearrangement: 1 question

As per the CUET 2025 pattern specified by NTA, the general test question paper consists of 50 compulsory multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The exam is conducted as a computer-based test, where candidates must select their answers on the computer screen using a mouse. It is important to note that there are no optional questions in the CUET UG 2025 general test.
The CUET UG 2025 marking scheme is outlined below:
+5 marks for each correct answer
-1 mark for each incorrect answer
0 marks for unanswered questions
