Eligibility Criteria for CUET 2025

Before applying for CUET 2025, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria:

1. Nationality: Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign candidates are eligible to apply.
2. Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for CUET UG 2025.
3. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board.
4. Minimum Marks Required:
   • General/EWS/OBC-NCL Category: Minimum 50% in Class 12.
   • SC/ST Category: Minimum 45% in Class 12.
5. Number of Subjects: Candidates can apply for a maximum of five subjects in CUET 2025.

How to Fill CUET 2025 Application Form: Step-by-Step Process?

The CUET 2025 application form is available only in online mode at the official website cuet.nta.nic.in. Follow the steps below to complete the registration process:

Step 1: Registration

1. Visit the official website cuet.nta.nic.in.

2. Click on the “CUET 2025 Registration” link.

3. Click on “New Registration” and read the instructions carefully.

4. Click on the checkbox to agree to the terms and proceed.

5. Enter personal details such as name, date of birth, gender, nationality, email address, and mobile number.

6. Create a password and note it down for future use.

7. Submit the details and note down the Application Number generated.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

1. Log in using your Application Number and Password.

2. Complete the application form by entering details such as:

• Personal Information

• Educational Qualifications

• Exam City Preference (You can select up to four cities)

• Choice of Subjects (Maximum of five)

3. Double-check all the details before moving to the next step.

Step 3: Uploading Documents

Upload the scanned copies of the required documents in the specified format:

• Photograph: JPEG format, Size: 10 KB – 200 KB.

• Signature: JPEG format, Size: 4 KB – 30 KB.

• Category Certificate & PwD Certificate (if applicable).

Step 4: Payment of Application Fees

Pay the application fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or Net Banking. The fees structure is as follows:

CUET 2025 Application Form Correction

The NTA provides an application correction window from March 24 to March 26, 2025. During this period, candidates can make changes to their application forms if any errors are found.

The admit card for CUET 2025 will be released in the first week of May 2025. Candidates can download it from the official website using their Application Number and Password.

Major Changes in CUET UG 2025 

CUET UG 2025 exam will undergo several significant changes as announced by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Here are the major updates:

• Shift to Computer-Based Testing (CBT): The exam will be conducted exclusively in a computer-based format, moving away from the hybrid model used previously. This aims to streamline the testing process and minimize logistical issues.
• Reduction in Subjects:  The number of subjects available for candidates to choose from has been reduced from 63 to 37. This change is intended to simplify the exam structure.
• Subject Selection Limit:  Candidates can now select a maximum of five subjects instead of six. This adjustment is made to create a more focused assessment environment.
• Introduction of New Flexibility:  Students will have the option to choose subjects that they did not study in their Class 12 curriculum. This change encourages interdisciplinary studies and greater flexibility in subject selection.
• Standardized Exam Duration:  All CUET UG exams will now have a uniform duration of 60 minutes, ensuring consistency across different subjects.
• Compulsory Question Format: The exam will feature 50 compulsory questions, with no options for candidates to skip or choose between questions.
• General Aptitude Test (GAT): Admissions for the subjects that have been dropped will now rely on scores from the General Aptitude Test (GAT).
