Major Changes in CUET UG Exam 2025

Candidates can check the changes made to the CUET UG 2025 exam below. 

• Regardless of the subjects in class 12, candidates can choose any subject in the CUET UG 2025 exam. 

• CUET UG will be conducted exclusively in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode. 

• The number of subjects in CUET UG has been reduced to 37 from 63. The subjects removed are Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, Engineering Graphics, etc. 

• Each CUET subject exam will have a standardized duration of 60 minutes. 

• Admission to the discontinued subjects will be done based on the CUET General Test exam. 

• No optional questions will be given

Candidates who are willing to apply for CUET UG Application Form 2025 must follow the below steps to complete the CUET UG registration 2025 process.

• Visit the official website of NTA CUET i.e., exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. 

• Find and click on the register tab. 

• Applying candidates must follow the provided instructions carefully. 

• Mark the declaration check box and click on the proceed button. 

• Next, fill in the required information in the given space. 

• Add your current address and active mobile number. 

• In the next step, they are required to add the permanent residence which should be verified if the candidate’s permanent residence is the same as the current address. 

• Create a password of 8-13 characters which involves a special character, one uppercase, one lowercase character, and one numeric value. 

• Re-enter the same password. 

• Select a security question and choose an answer. 

• Enter the security pin in the given space. 

• Upload scanned images of photographs and signatures in a prescribed format. 

• Pay the required application fee for the registration process.

Before submitting CUET UG Application Form 2025, candidates must verify that they meet all eligibility requirements at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. CUET UG 2025 Eligibility Criteria include having a Class 10+2 diploma from a nationally recognized board, as well as having minimum aggregate marks as specified by the university being applied to. Academic Qualifications Candidates must have passed Class 12 or be appearing in Class 12 from a recognized board. For admission to undergraduate programs, candidates need to secure: 

• General Category: A minimum of 50% marks in Class 12. 

• SC/ST/OBC-NCL Categories: A minimum of 45% marks in Class 12. 

For specific programs like BTech, the minimum aggregate required is: 

• General Category: 45% marks. 

• Reserved Categories (SC/ST): 40% marks. 

Age Limit There is no upper age limit for appearing in the CUET 2025 exam. However, candidates must fulfill any age criteria set by the specific universities they wish to apply to. Nationality Interested Candidates must be: 

• Indian citizens. 

• Citizens of Nepal or Bhutan. 

• Tibetan refugees who settled in India before January 1, 1962, and intend to make India their permanent home.
