JNU Admission 2025 Process
Candidates who wish to participate in the admission process for Jawaharlal Nehru University Admission through CUET UG exam can follow the below steps.
NTA will release CUET 2025 official notification in February 2025, with the detailed exam schedule, eligibility, and application process.
Candidates can fill out the online application form on the official CUET website in March 2025, and upload the necessary documents and select their desired courses.
CUET UG exam, conducted by NTA, will take place in the third week of May 2025. It will assess candidates on general knowledge, language skills, and domain-specific subjects related to their chosen course.
The results will be declared in July 2025, and a merit list will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in the exam.
Shortlisted candidates will participate in counseling and document verification in July or August 2025.
After counseling, candidates will confirm their admission by paying the required fee.
Hostels will be allotted after admission confirmation, typically in August 2025.

Eligibility Criteria For JNU Admission 2025
Jawaharlal Nehru University offers various UG courses for admission through CUET UG exam. Candidates who wish to get admission to the UG courses at JNU must meet the course-wise JNU Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria in the table below. Candidates need to take both the English Test (Section IA) and the General Test (Section III). If a candidate doesn’t participate in both these sections, they won’t be eligible for admission to JNU.
i) Candidates need to have passed the Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognized Board/University with at least 45% marks. Candidates can still apply if they have not cleared yet but appearing this year.
ii) If a candidate has obtained a Certificate of Alimiah with at least 45% marks from one of the specified Madrasas, he/she can apply, provided they have also passed English language at the Senior Secondary level from a recognized Board/University or completed a three-year course from Darul-Uloom Deoband.
Candidates need to take both the English Test (Section IA) and the General Test (Section III). If a candidate doesn’t participate in both these sections, they won’t be eligible for admission to JNU.
Candidates need to have at least passed the Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks overall. For OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates, there’s a relaxation of 10% in the required marks. SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) candidates who have passed the qualifying exam, regardless of their marks, can also take the Entrance Examination.
B.Sc.-M.Sc. Integrated Programme in Ayurveda Biology
Candidates must choose Sanskrit or Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Mathematics. Physics and Chemistry are compulsory, and candidates select either Biology or Mathematics as the third subject. The higher scoring subject counts for merit if both Biology and Mathematics are chosen. The General Test is also required. Missing any of these sections makes candidates ineligible for JNU admission.
Candidates must pass the Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks overall. For OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates, there’s a relaxation of 10% in the required marks. SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) candidates who have passed the qualifying exam, regardless of their marks, can also take the Entrance Examination.
JNU 2025 Merit List
