The eligibility criteria for the Indian Army JAG 123rd Entry Scheme (April 2026) are as follows:

- Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (3-year course after graduation or 5-year course after 10+2)

- Institution must be recognized by the Bar Council of India

- CLAT PG 2025 Score mandatory for all applicants

- Eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State

Age Limit

- Between 21 and 27 years of age as of January 1, 2026

- Date of birth must be between January 2, 1999, and January 1, 2005 (inclusive)

Physical and Medical Requirements

For Men:

  • 2.4 Km Run: 10 Minutes 30 Seconds

  • Sit-ups: 30

  • Push-ups: 40

  • Cross Grip: 04-06

  • Squats: Two sets of 30 repetitions

  • Lunges: Two sets of 10 repetitions

  • Swimming: Must be able to swim 25 meters in any stroke.

For Women:

  • 2.4 Km Run: 13 Minutes
  • Sit-ups: 25
  • Push-ups: 15
  • Cross Grip: 02
  • Squats: Two sets of 30 repetitions
  • Lunges: Two sets of 10 repetitions
  • Swimming: Must be able to swim 25 meters in any stroke.

JAG 123 Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the Indian Army JAG 123rd Course April 2026 happens in a few steps:

  1. Shortlisting: Candidates are picked based on their CLAT PG 2024 scores.

  2. SSB Interview: Those shortlisted will attend a 5-day Service Selection Board interview to check their physical and mental abilities.

  • The SSB interview has two parts:

  • Stage I: This includes intelligence tests and a Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Only those who pass this stage can go to the next one.

  • Stage II: This stage lasts four days and includes psychological tests, group tasks led by a Group Testing Officer (GTO), a personal interview, and a final meeting or conference.

  1. Medical Exam: Candidates who clear the interview will go through a detailed medical check-up to make sure they are fit.

  2. Final Merit List: The final selection is made using the interview scores and other eligibility rules.
