The selection process for the Indian Army JAG 123rd Course April 2026 happens in a few steps:
Shortlisting: Candidates are picked based on their CLAT PG 2024 scores.
SSB Interview: Those shortlisted will attend a 5-day Service Selection Board interview to check their physical and mental abilities.
The SSB interview has two parts:
Stage I: This includes intelligence tests and a Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Only those who pass this stage can go to the next one.
Stage II: This stage lasts four days and includes psychological tests, group tasks led by a Group Testing Officer (GTO), a personal interview, and a final meeting or conference.
Medical Exam: Candidates who clear the interview will go through a detailed medical check-up to make sure they are fit.
Final Merit List: The final selection is made using the interview scores and other eligibility rules.
All selected candidates need to visit the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, for 49 weeks. The training program is to prepare candidates for their roles as officers in the Indian Army’s Judge Advocate General (JAG) branch.
