• Preparation of drawings about Ship structure/ plan/ elevation & frame sections required for layout drawings using AutoCAD, equipment and layouts of compartments drawings.
• To gather technical data of equipment selected for fitment.
• To maintain record workbook, prepare schematic/ sketch/ flow diagram of ships systems & fittings.
• To create a reproduction of drawings/ data sketches for design.

• To prepare charts in both manual and digital format.
• To extract features of a map for various formats of charts/maps.
• To change linear scale & map scales and calculate the distance between features.
• To prepare 3D maps using 2D data.

Senior Draughtsman (Armament)

• To gather required technical data to prepare provisional drawings and maintain a record of day-to-day work progress.
• To ensure maintenance of proper record of drawings/ specifications, technical data compiled, documents, etc.
• To implement dimensional details on the sketches/ drawings and create working drawings in the SI system using necessary technical particulars, ensure that the record of all drawings specifications/ documents technical data compiled by them is maintained properly.
• To assist the Oi/C in carrying out various technical tasks, timely updating technical drawings approved by the competent authority, and any other duty assigned by Oi/C.
