NID Gandhinagar Course Admissions
NID Gandhinagar course admissions under M.Des are entrance-based. NID Gandhinagar offers M.Des program at the PG level for a duration of 2.5 years in eight disciplines in the field of design. Candidates are required to obtain aggregate merit scores in NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) (Prelims and Mains). NID DAT is conducted in two stages namely, Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims and Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains. Candidates who clear the NID DAT prelims with merit scores, qualify for the DAT Mains examination. Based on the weighted scores obtained by the candidates in NID DAT Prelims and Mains, final admission to NID Ahmedabad courses is done. NID DAT prelims is a pen/pencil test having both visual and text questions. The DAT mains includes two parts namely a studio Test and Interview. The final seat allotment is done based on the preference of the discipline filled by the candidate, the merit list, and availability of seats under a particular course. For seat confirmation, candidates must complete the document verification process, and pay the requisite admission fee.
