Question-Wise Analysis of NID Studio Test 2025

1. Section A: Video-based analysis and interpretation

• Description: Candidates watched a video (e.g., workers in a quarry) and answered written questions about the scenes, music, and background. They also matched lines of a poem and illustrated their interpretation.

2. Part B: Scenario-based sequential drawing

• Description: Candidates were presented with a situation involving a handicapped person at a railway station. They had to draw two sets of 10-frame sequences: one from the person’s perspective and another from the observer’s perspective.

3. Part C: Model-making with provided materials

• Description: Candidates were given bamboo splinters, colored paper strips, cloth, and thread. The task was to construct a stable windmill that could stand on its own and rotate its blades, using at least two materials.

NID 2024 Exam Analysis

The overall difficulty level of the NID 2024 was moderate to easy. The drawing section was a bit challenging, while the aptitude section was easy. The aptitude section included definitions (such as "homogeneity" and "demography"), logical reasoning, and common-sense scenarios. The drawing section consisted of four main questions, each with subparts. 

The first question was a paper-cutting and folding problem, where students had to visualize and complete the unfolded figure typical figure completion task. The second was a product design exercise, asking candidates to design a 20-liter portable water jar for mountain use and explain how it would be used. The third question involved sequential drawing, where students had to illustrate four-step processes for various transformations, such as potato to chips, seed to candle, mango to pickle, and seashell to jewelry. 

The questions were mainly based on drawing and creative skills. The difficulty level of the drawing section was moderate, while the aptitude section was quite easy. The exam tested visualization, product design, sequential thinking, and the ability to innovate-core skills for aspiring designers.
