The UCEED 2027 Question Paper will require you to manage both objective and subjective questions. Therefore, preparation should include practice for computer-based questions as well as drawing and design-based tasks.
The UCEED Part A question paper will have three sections with different question formats and marking rules. You should understand the marking scheme of each section before attempting questions.
Section 1 will contain 14 NAT questions. Each question will carry 4 marks. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
For NAT questions, you will have to enter a numerical answer using the virtual keyboard displayed on the computer screen. No answer choices will be provided.

The UCEED NAT questions will require you to calculate or determine the required numerical value and enter it directly. Since there are no options, you cannot use option elimination in these questions.
Section 2 will contain 15 MSQ questions. Each question will have four options, and one or more options may be correct.
The marking system for MSQs allows partial marks in certain cases. However, selecting an incorrect option can result in negative marking.

For example, if a question has multiple correct answers, you need to select only the options you are confident about. Selecting an incorrect option may lead to negative marks.
The UCEED MSQ question format therefore requires careful reading of every option. You should not treat these questions in the same way as single-answer MCQs.
Section 3 will have 28 MCQs. Each question will have four choices, with only one correct answer.
Each correct answer will carry 3 marks. An incorrect answer will result in a negative mark of 0.71.

You should consider the negative marking while attempting MCQs. If you are unsure about an answer, evaluate the options carefully before making a selection.
The UCEED Part B question paper will carry 100 marks and will have two questions. It is designed to assess your drawing skills and design aptitude.
Unlike Part A, Part B will not be answered directly on the computer. The questions will be displayed on the computer screen, but you will write or draw your answers in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator.

Both Part-B questions are mandatory. You must complete them within the one-hour duration allotted to Part-B.
The answer booklet will be distributed 30 minutes before the examination begins. You will be asked to check the booklet for any irregularities. After checking it, you will have to fill in your role number and name. The details will be cross-checked by the invigilator during attendance.
At the end of the examination, the Part-B answer copies will be collected by the invigilator.
The marking scheme differs between Part-A and Part-B. Part-A has objective questions with specific marks for correct and incorrect answers. Part-B carries marks for the two subjective questions.

The questions in Part-B will be evaluated subjectively. Since Part-B includes sketching and design aptitude, regular drawing practice is important. The PW UCEED Sprint 2027 Batch also includes drawing assignments with personalised feedback to support this part of preparation.
The total duration of the examination will be 3 hours. The time is divided between Part-A and Part-B.
Part-A: 2 hours
Part-B: 1 hour
Total: 3 hours
You must complete Part-A within its allotted 2 hours. After that, Part-B must be completed within the allotted 1 hour.
The examination rules do not allow you to extend the time of one part into another. Therefore, time management should be an important part of your preparation.
For Part A, you can divide your time according to the number and type of questions. NAT questions require direct numerical answers, MSQs require careful option selection, and MCQs have negative marking. Part-B needs separate attention because you have to complete two subjective questions within one hour.
You should keep the following instructions in mind while preparing for the UCEED Exam Syllabus:
