Can I modify my preferences after the UCEED Seat Allotment?
Candidates are allowed to modify their preferences before the seat allotment process begins. Once the seat allotment is done, preferences cannot be changed. Candidates can choose to accept or reject the allotted seat, depending on the rules.
What is the seat acceptance fee for UCEED 2025?
The seat acceptance fee is ₹60,000 for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and ₹15,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. This fee must be paid online to confirm the allotted seat.

UCEED 2025 seat allotment for Round 4 will conclude on 28 June 2025 by 6 PM, where candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 60,000 for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL and Rs 15,000 for SC/ST/PwD. The provisional seat allotments for Round 4 were announced on 24 June 2025. Candidates, if allotted a seat, have the option to withdraw or exit from this round from 29 June to 1 July 2025. This allows candidates to reconsider their options before the fifth and final allotment round.
The fifth and final round of seat allotment will be conducted on 3 July 2025, with the seat acceptance fee payment window open until 9 July 2025. The allotment is based on All India Rank, category, and institute preferences. The provisional letters will be sent to the shortlisted candidates via registered email.
UCEED Seat Allotment Schedule 2025
The schedule for the seat allotment process has been officially announced. Candidates can register for the UCEED seat allotment 2025 from 14 March to 3 April 2025. IIT Bombay conducts the UCEED 2025 Joint Seat Allotment process. In each round, candidates will have to either accept the seat or proceed to the next round. Candidates have to select options such as float, freeze, or decline following each round of the UCEED seat allotment 2025. What After UCEED Seat Allotment 2025 Result Declaration?
Once the respective authorities have declared the UCEED seat allotment 2025 result, candidates have to select any one of the following options.
Freeze: Candidates can select this option if they feel content and satisfied with the allotment and do not want to participate in the next rounds.
Float: By selecting this option, candidates can keep the allotted seat and hope for an upgrade.
Withdraw: This option allows candidates to accept the seat allotted to them but wish to withdraw before the final rounds.

UCEED BDes Revised Seat Allotment 2025 for IITs
The UCEED BDes revised seat allotment for IITs reflects the updated distribution of Bachelor of Design seats across seven participating IITs for the 2025-26 academic year. With the addition of IIT Indore, the total number of seats has increased to 245, up from 225 last year. These seats are allocated category-wise according to government reservation norms and are filled through multiple rounds of allotment based on candidates’ UCEED ranks.

UCEED Counselling 2025
UCEED Counselling 2025 is the centralised process conducted by IIT Bombay for candidates who have qualified the UCEED 2025 exam and secured a merit rank. Registration for counselling was open online from 14 March 2025 to 3 April 2025, allowing eligible candidates to select their preferred institutes and courses. The counselling and seat allotment process includes five rounds. Seats are allocated based on UCEED rank, category, and preferences submitted during registration.
UCEED Seat Allotment 2025 Important Points
Some important points that candidates must be aware of during the UCEED Seat Allotment 2025 are as follows.
UCEED seat allotment round 2 was released on 19 May 2025 along with the cutoff marks.
Round 1 seat allotment was out on 21 April 2025.
UCEED counselling and seat allotment registration dates were from 14 March 2025 to 03 April 2025.
IIT Bombay will solely be responsible for the UCEED counselling 2025.
Selected candidates will get a provisional allotment letter through their registered email.
Candidates need to pay Rs. 60,000 as the seat acceptance fee for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL and Rs. 15,000 for SC/ST/PwD.
Once the seat is allotted, if candidates fail to pay the seat acceptance fee before the last date or decline the admission, their application will stand cancelled. Such candidates will not be allowed to participate in the next rounds of the UCEED Seat Allotment Process 2025.
If the candidates are allotted their first choice of institute, they can either "Freeze" (Accept) or "Decline" the offer. In case the candidate declines the offer, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the subsequent rounds of the seat allotment process. Their current seat allocation will also be cancelled.
Candidates have to pay the UCEED Seat Acceptance Fee as per their categories mentioned in their seat allotment provisional letter, despite their choices of "Accept/Float/Decline".
For candidates who accept the allotted seat, the UCEED Seat Acceptance Fee will be adjusted against the institution fees of the admitting institute at the time of joining.
Candidates who decline the allotted seat after remitting the seat acceptance fee will be provided a refund as governed by the policies of the admitting institute.
