UCEED Counselling 2025: UCEED second round seat allotment result was announced on 19 May 2025. The window for Payment of the Seat opened from 19 May 2025 to 27 May 2025. Candidates can withdraw or exit from the seat from 28 May 2025 till 9 June 2025 by 6:00 pm. The counselling process commenced on 14 May 2025. It is conducted by IIT Bombay and is held entirely online through a Joint Seat Allocation process.
The counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification. There are five rounds of seat allotment, with the process based on merit rank and candidate preferences. After each round, candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee to confirm their seat or opt for withdrawal or upgrade as per the schedule. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their UCEED rank, preference choices, and availability of seats in participating institutes.
UCEED Counselling 2025 Overview
IIT Bombay will conduct the open registration process for UCEED counselling 2025 from 14 April 2025 to 03 April 2025. Candidates who obtain merit rank in the UCEED 2025 are eligible to register for the UCEED counselling. To register for UCEED counselling 2025, candidates have to fill in their personal details, select institutes in order of preference, and pay the counselling fee of INR 4,000/. UCEED counselling 2025 will be held as a Joint Admission Process. The counselling will take place in 5-seat allotment rounds. The seat allotment for Round 1 will be announced on 21 April 2025. Once the seat is allotted, candidates are required to pay the seat acceptance fee within the given deadline, otherwise their allotment will be cancelled and will move forward to the next candidates in order of merit.
UCEED Counselling Registration
UCEED Counselling Registration was open from 14 March 2025 to 3 April 2025. Candidates were required to fill out their preferences, upload necessary documents, and pay the registration fee online. The entire counselling process is conducted online, and only those who complete registration within the stipulated dates are eligible for seat allotment rounds. UCEED 2025 Seat Allotment Schedule
The UCEED 2025 Seat Allotment Schedule consists of five rounds conducted by IIT Bombay to allocate B.Des seats based on candidates' merit ranks and preferences. The first round was announced on 21 April 2025, with payment and withdrawal windows following shortly after. Subsequent rounds are scheduled through July 2025. Check out the schedule below.
IIT Bombay has announced the seat allotment results for the UCEED second allotment round on 19 May 2025. Candidates who have participated in the second round of UCEED counselling process can check out their results on the official website at www. uceed.iitb.ac.in. Based on the candidates' All India Rank (AIR) in UCEED 2025, category, and preference of colleges, seats are allotted. Candidates who have been allotted seats in the UCEED second round have to pay the seat confirmation fee by 27 May 2025. Candidates who want to exit the counselling process or withdraw their allotted seats can do so between 28 May to 9 June 2025.
UCEED Seat Confirmation Fee for Second Round
The UCEED seat acceptance fee for the second round of counselling is INR 60,000 for candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories, while candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories need to pay Rs 15,000. The payment must be made online between 19 to 27 May 19 2025, to confirm the allotted seat in the second round. If candidates fail to pay the seat acceptance fee within the stipulated period, their allotted seat will be cancelled and offered to other candidates in the order of merit. After successful payment, candidates can download their provisional seat allotment letter from the official portal.
In case candidates want to exit the counselling process or withdraw their admission, a cancellation and processing fee of Rs 5000 will be deducted from their confirmation fee. The refund amount will be Rs 55,000 for general, EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates, and Rs 10,000 for SC, and PwD candidates.
UCEED Counselling Process 2025
After the UCEED 2025 results are announced, eligible candidates must register for counselling, provide necessary documents, and fill in their preferred choices for institutions and courses. The process includes seat allotment based on merit and preference, followed by the payment of fees and document verification. Candidates are then required to report to the allotted institute for final admission formalities.

Online Registration: Candidates must register online for UCEED 2025 counselling between 14 March till 3 April 2025. Visit the official website, log in using your credentials, and fill out the B.Des application form with personal details and institute preferences.
Payment of Counselling Fee: After completing the registration, pay a non-refundable counselling fee of INR 4,000 through net banking, debit card, or credit card. This fee is mandatory to proceed with the process.
Upload Mandatory Documents: Upload scanned copies of required documents, such as the UCEED scorecard, Class 12 mark sheet, photograph, signature, and category certificates (if applicable). Ensure all documents meet the prescribed specifications to avoid rejection.
Editing Preferences: Candidates can edit their institute preferences and re-submit the application until the last date of registration. This step allows flexibility in finalizing choices before seat allotment begins.
Seat Allotment Rounds: Seat allotment will be conducted in five rounds starting 21April 2025. Seats are allocated based on UCEED merit rank and institute preferences. Provisional allotment letters will be sent to selected candidates via email or login portal.
Acceptance Fee of Seat Allotment: Candidates must accept their allotted seats by paying a seat acceptance fee. Failure to pay this fee within the stipulated time will result in forfeiture of the seat.
Reporting to Allotted Institute: After completing all rounds of seat allotment, candidates must report to their respective institutes as per instructions provided in the provisional admission letter to finalize their admission.

UCEED Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The UCEED 2025 counselling eligibility criteria will be based on candidates meeting the required academic qualifications, securing a valid UCEED rank, and fulfilling any additional conditions set by the conducting authorities. Candidates must ensure they meet the necessary age and qualification requirements to participate in the counselling process.
1. Age Limit
For General, EWS, and OBC-NCL category, candidates must be born on or after 1st October 2000.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD category should be born on or after 1st October 1995.
2. UCEED 2025 Qualification
Candidates must have qualified UCEED 2025 and obtained a valid merit rank.
3. Qualifying Exam
Candidates must have passed all 5 subjects in their class 12th or equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025. Candidates who have appeared in their qualifying exam in 2023 or earlier are not eligible to appear for the exam.
Candidates from the Science Stream with Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics are eligible to apply to ALL the six participating institutes including IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jabalpur.
Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 are eligible.
Students from Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.
Freshers appearing for their qualifying exam in 2025 must ensure that: (a)all parts of their final examination are completed by the date of admission, (b) proof of having passed the qualifying examination must be submitted to the admitting institute by 30th September 2024.
In case a qualifying examination board only provides letter grades without providing information on the passing grade on the grade sheet, candidates are required to obtain a certificate from the respective Board stating the passing grade and upload it along with the grade sheet. The decision taken by the UCI Committee will be final if a certificate is not provided.
UCEED Options Post Seat Allotment 2025
Allotment of First Choice institute: If the candidate gets his/her first choice of the institute, the candidates have the option to Accept (freeze), or Decline the offer. If the seat is declined, the candidate will not be able to move forward to the next seat allotment rounds and the current allocation gets cancelled.
Allotment of Second/Third Choice of Institute: In this case, candidates have two options, either to Accept or Float for next rounds. If the candidates chooses the "Accept" option, then they will not be considered for the next seat allotment rounds and their current allocation will be confirmed. In case, candidates select the "Float" option, they will be offered a higher preference seat in the next round, if available. Candidates can either accept it or decline it.
If the higher preference seat is accepted, the seat allocated in the previous seat allotment round gets cancelled. In case, candidates decline the higher preference seat or no seat is available to offer, they will continue to hold the current seat allocation.
Last round of seat allotment: After the seat allotment results have been announced in the last round candidates will have no option to withdraw/ decline an accepted/ allotted seat.

Factors Affecting UCEED Seat Allotment 2025 Result
The UCEED 2025 seat allotment result will be influenced by several factors, including:

Payment of Fees to Accept/Freeze/Float

If the payment is not done within the deadline, the current seat allotment will get cancelled and the candidates will not be considered for next rounds of seat allotment. The seat acceptance fee will be adjusted at the time of joining. In case, candidates declines the seat offered during the UCEED counselling after remitting the seat acceptance fee, the refund will be initiated based on the policies of the admitting institutes. After paying the seat acceptance fee, if a candidate chooses to withdraw after Round I up to one day before the announcement of Round III, he/she will get a refund amount equivalent to the seat acceptance fee minus the seat cancellation fee and processing charge of INR. 5000/-. After the announcement of Round III, no refund requests will be entertained.
Reporting at the Allotted College: To confirm their seat, candidates must visit the designated institution. need to submit necessary documents, complete formalities, and pay the required fees. Failing to report within the specified time frame may lead to the forfeiture of the allotted seat.
