SSC JE Paper 1 Syllabus 2026

Paper 1 is the first stage of the SSC JE 2026 examination. It includes General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and the relevant technical subject opted by the candidate. Paper 1 is qualifying in nature, and candidates are shortlisted for Paper 2 based on merit subject to obtaining the prescribed minimum qualifying marks.

Part A: Civil & Structural Engineering; Part B: Electrical Engineering; Part C: Mechanical Engineering; Part D: Computer Science & Information Technology; Part E: Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering; Part F: Physics; or Part G: Telecommunication Engineering, as applicable to the post and qualification.

Paper 2 is conducted for candidates shortlisted after Paper 1 and focuses on the technical subject applicable to their selected post and educational qualification. Candidates are required to attempt the same subject or stream opted for in the Online Application Form. For Scientific Assistant in IMD, candidates have to opt for Part D, Part E, or Part F according to their qualifying stream.
